I watched Trumpās rally speech in the Charlotte theater yesterday. The crowd was almost exclusively white, I strained to see any black faces anywhere, and the televising presenter had a camera on a swivel panning the crowd. The front row was empty during the usual interminable wait, with Trump showing up the usual 45 minutes after the announced rally start time. Then, barely 5 minutes before Trump took to the podium several black people were led in to fill up the front row. Shortly afterward a black Pastor gave a brief introduction and Trump came out. For whatever reason those front row black people didnāt sit and wait with all the white people for the speech. The didnāt mingle in with the crowd, they were essentially segregated, and were afforded no opportunity to interact with white people. Maybe that was their choice, or the organizers, it wasnāt made clear. Then Trump spends the bulk of his speech regaling the crowd about how bad black people have been treated by Democrats, how miserable and dangerous their lives are, and how itās important they help get him elected to change all that.
Trump couldnāt make this speech before a few thousand black people? The cognitive dissonance was pronounced to say the least.
I made that point here yesterday, much to the dismay of most readers. I guess I was supposed to leaven my criticism by noting how left handed gay Puerto Rican sous chefs might be just as bad.
The one constant in the totalitarian mindset in all of its guises is unlimited faith in the efficacy of killing people as a solution to political problems. And yet, people born and raised to democracy are ill-equipped to recognize it when that mindset manifests itself among them.
The actions of frustrated people who choose to shock, because they cannot win.
Honest to Godā¦these people are such SHEEP. They are being led to a conclusion which has no bearing in reality and then take it to the next level. I donāt know whether to slap them or feel sorry for them.

It has been coming for a while. Mitt Romney won nearly 60 percent of the white vote, while widening the deficit with minority voters. Trump is turning this demographic crack into a chasm ā a startling 90 percent of his supporters are white. The ultimate question he poses, for the party and for the country, is whether the GOP can outrun the growing minority vote by increasing the number of whites driven by racial anger.
I donāt understand so many of my white brothers and sisters anymore. Itās like their their humanity and their reason parted from their propensities by mutual consent.
This is where freedom of speech and expression starts to get pretty murky for me.
