Wonderful week for civil rights: ACA survived, Flag of Southern Treason came down, Marriage equality prevailed.
Wonderful week for Schadenfreude: Wasilla Kardashian’s contract with Faux not renewed. Barstool Palin proved her job as Abstinence-only spokestrollop was a fraud.

It’s in their language but my impression is that a fair proportion of those who hate do so because they are objecting to their own inclinations. So if you got such a bagger this would either 1) Help, 2) Anger enough to counteract the depression leading to the urge to jump or 3) qualify as a push.
I share the general ambivalence as to what would be the correct outcome.

A little town in Indiana last November before the Pense gay cake hysteria, in the space created when the 7th Circuit threw out Indiana’s ban. The judge, everyone couldn’t have been nicer. It was about as small an affair as one could imagine, just us. A great friend of the partner’s (who married her partner a year earlier up East) surprised us with cake and camera outside the Judge’s chamber.
While I didn’t physically die back in the late 90s, due to the political, workplace and social attitudes of the time, I did for all intents and purposes pass away. But, as we’ve heard elsewhere this week, God works in mysterious ways and in passing from one, once very successful, life I unknowingly entered a life I had once thought restricted to my wildest imagination. A small, quiet life of healing and prayer and grace and happiness that, while as ordinary as all others, has only rarely known safe expression in all the long prior millennia of human existence…
