Thatā€™s because it was a terribly written headline.

ā€œLouisiana anti-gay law overturned by Dem governorā€.

Golly, that was hard.

Way to go girl Spot on. Iā€™d like to know in politics when everything goes your way. It ainā€™t never gonna happen

Very poorly written headline. I had to wrap my head around it for a minute or two then read the story

Hooray and Hallelujah Gov Bel Edwards!

I may just stop by and patronize in your state over the summer!

Keep it moving STRONG!

Great start! But itā€™d be faster if heā€™d just take all of Jindalā€™s executive orders and throw them in the shredder.

A Democratic Gov in a red Republican state is a glorious thing!

Good point! When I was younger, despite being an active Democrat, I would have fully agreed with the statement (without the sarcasm!). I watched as my Senator and my President signed DOMA. Welfare was being gutted. The drug war was in full swing. I didnā€™t see much difference.

What a difference two decades make. Now, the Republicans are all batshit crazy, and the Democrats are far to the left on virtually every issue of where they were in 1996.

This is an example of a serious zombie meme. It hasnā€™t been true for a long time!

The LGBTers are sure a discriminated on group, WTF?
The Repubs have lost so many battles that their hit list is down to groups that I doubt that they are really barely even aware of.

Next up for sure is Muslim Midgets ; )

Imagine the sadness of the hateful, no more people that they donā€™t actually know what the fuck they are and/or what the fuck the abbreviation means to hate on.

I think it would be a bit more accurate to take out the ā€œpresidential candidateā€ part, and just leave it ā€œfailed Bobby Jindalā€.

Completely understandable. Not universally known as @pb pointed out, the /s is indicative of snark. Thanks for bringing this up by your literal interpretation:

It is common in online conversation among some Internet users to use an XML closing tag: . The tag is often written only after the sarcasm so as to momentarily trick the reader before admitting the joke. Over time, it has evolved to lose the angle brackets (/sarcasm) and has subsequently been shortened to /s.

Without New Orleans tourism money, LA would be in a real bind what with Jindalā€™s tax/economic malfeasance and the collapse of the oil market?

I remember the night that this dude was elected, it was really a good feeling and there was much hope. Heā€™s doing his job and fulfilling the hope placed with him.

A little liberalism goes along way, see Obamacare. Once the Louisiananā€™s get a taste of good government they just might grow a statewide brain and at least turn purple.
