Reflect for a second on how self-serving this comment is. Republicans have made a mess of legislation just begging for a lawsuit in recent years, costing taxpayers millions. But as soon as the Central Committee (friendly name there, folks) funds might be touched, let’s not be hasty.

IOW, the state GOP wants retain its ability to support people who adhere to its core values. It just doesn’t want to support anyone named Duke.
