You don’t by any chance suppose these victims were shot by a gun or guns, do you?

According to local news, sheriff says there are multiple casualties and fatalities, with a 2 year old among those shot.

But I’m sure someone will quickly say it is too soon to talk about guns.

Dear dog, I’m so sick of hearing that phrase.

What happens when you don’t allow pastors to concealed carry!

This is Texas. Pastors, and everyone else, are allowed concealed carry. And open carry.

The church may have prohibited it as a private business on private property, but that may be unlikely for a small church in a small town.

The really important question: Are the guns OK?

It’s always nice to have a governor who jumps right in and tackles the job immediately. I guess.

I am sick and sick of the thoughts and prayers. Prayers did not help the 24 victims.

Guns are a sickness in America. As long as the laws are like they are, it will remain a very grave and growing fatal sickness.

Well, I better take care of my moral obligation: My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones. Ok, done. Back to the Bengals game.

I am sure that the NRA will have something totally crass to say about this. This is the second mass shooting at a church in 2 yrs. Is this one of those examples of John Kelly’s nothing is sacred?

TX AG Ken Paxton also issues the obligatory thoughts and prayers statement. And Ted Cruz.

And Trump tweets that he is “monitoring the situation from Japan.” Yeah, you’re a big help, Donny.

People are dead because they went to church ostensibly to pray. Anyone who offers thoughts and prayers needs to think very hard before they speak. No talk about gun laws of course just thoughts and prayers. Thoughts and prayers do not bring back anyone who died but thoughtful reassessment of gun laws may have prevented this.

No, no, you didn’t quite get his entire title: two-time indicted felon TX AG Ken Paxton…

Yes, sorry. We must give him his due.

For those who don’t know Texas, this is a very small town southeast of San Antonio, getting towards the Rio Grande Valley, large Hispanic population. From the scenes on TV, the church looks like a thousand other small town Texas churches.
