OK, now I get it. “Drain the Swamp” was a joke slogan.

A man with no values, no interests other than himself, can’t have policy positions. He realized he could enrich himself through the Presidency and has relied on others – those with the most money/access, ability to get his attention – to form policy. The result is predictable. Corporations with interests (profits) contrary to those of citizens (public health, good jobs) curry favor with a corrupt, value-less leader and design favorable policy. It’s a fucking disgrace, and I don’t know what more we can do beyond shining a harsh light on every one of these cases that comes up and reminding voters during elections that they’re getting fucked by the current regime.

He’s also sued HBO’s John Oliver, who called Murray “a geriatric Dr. Evil,” for defamation.

Maybe this will help - “Satire is a genre of literature, and sometimes graphic and performing arts, in which vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals,. . . into improvement. . . For its nature and social role, satire has enjoyed in many societies a special freedom license to mock prominent individuals and institutions.”

And this - “The Streisand effect is the phenomenon whereby an attempt to hide, remove, or censor a piece of information has the unintended consequence of publicizing the information more widely, usually facilitated by the Internet.”

Thanks once again to our fantastic “Green” party and its millions of fellow travelers for working so hard to convince millions of Americans that there is no difference between the Democrats and Republicans, and to protects us from the horrors of an Al Gore or Hillary Clinton presidency.

The only people I see stoking intraparty division around here are folks like you. Consider letting it go?

At least he’s not lying to congress.

Then you must be here only some of the time because there are definitely others who stoke it from the other direction.

One can only assume that you’ve just awakened from a long and deep coma.

I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that the compliant GOP majority in the Senate will just rubber-stamp his nomination. Why stop now? I’m especially interested to see how Flake and Corker vote; talk is cheap.

A lot of horror would have been avoided by a Gore-Obama-Clinton Presidency. If the truth promotes “intraparty division”
than any intraparty unity is bullshit

Tea Party Dome, move over. There is a new game in town.

There is no end to the shitiness of these people.

Back then, politicians needed explicit bribes. Now they’re just all on the same team. playing different positions as the coaches choose.

Apparently Mr. Coal Baron, who has poo-pooed the environmental risks of carbon emissions, suffers from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Wikipedia on IPF: The cause of IPF is unknown but certain environmental factors and exposures have been shown to increase the risk of getting IPF.

Sheesh…I imagine his oxygen machine is probably the best that money can buy. Way to go, dumbass.

This is not corruption.

Corruption would be if some rich, corrupt guy — who’s known to skirt the law himself a time or two and is from an industry that kills a lot of people and threatens civilization’s future — raised money for your campaign and exploited his employees to vote for you, and then because of that you lied for him to the American people, and gave him everything he wanted (despite the fact that it’s contrary to science and possibly the law), and even used tax money to subsidize his industry without justification, and viciously pushed out qualified scientists who dared to do science that contradicted your plans, and plus you secretly implemented his agenda (straight off some piece-of-shit “document” that he handed you, and in addition you even hired that guy’s lobbyist to “regulate” him. That would be corruption.

Clearly, this is not that. And, frankly, it’s offensive than anyone would think otherwise.

Do you actually believe that, or are you just lying for the fun of it?

As for the Greens, how the fuck does despising them for the foreseeable consequences of their assholery constitute intraparty division?

Imbeciles claiming equivalence between the major parties gave us Tricky Dick, Dubya, and Drumpf. Pardon me for despising them therefor. Or don’t—I don’t give a fuck.
