Jokes in bad taste aside, I hope today’s desperate loon and/or second-amendment right enthusiast is a terrible shot.

How about not re-victimizing the victim here by equating a perpetrator’s homicidal act “of involvement with a situation” as akin to his/her victim’s “involvement” in it?
