Discussion for article #231613
Not guilty because it was dark and he thought she was a black manâŚwho looked like a large angry demon.
That means the gun was loaded and safety off. He should be immediately terminated from employment or get a desk job with no weapon. And he should never be allowed to own a gun.
Well, give the guy a break. After all, he lives in Peachtree City, GA, where there are huge numbers of home invasions and burglaries. No one can sleep soundly unless heâs got a gun under his pillow.
Check out Peachtree City, folks, population about 35,000, noted for its multiple golf courses and system of golf cart paths that wind through the whole place. It routinely shows up in national lists of the best places to live, and was recently cited as the best place in GA to raise kids. In short, this shooting pretty much constitutes an unprecedented crime wave.
ExactlyâŚI was just going to comment the same thing. One of the safest suburbs in Georgie - what the hell was he expecting? The guy is a maroon and should be suspended.
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when youâre always afraid
Wow, thatâs the most composed 911 caller after a shooing Iâve ever heard, especially for a guy who ââaccidentlyââ shot his wife.
Assuming for the moment that he told the truth, how many kinds of negligence is this. And for what other object than a gun would the law give any kind of leeway whatsoever. Imagine a chef who just happened to sleep with a carving knife in the bed and âaccidentallyâ stabbed their spouse. Or a roofer who went to bed with a nail gun. Or a driver who napped in their car with the engine running and âaccidentallyâ put it into Drive and ran someone down.
Never underestimate the power of Jack Daniels.
Combined with Ambien?
Pathetic - is this his best possible excuse?
Leaves loaded gun on nightstand? ⌠reached for it in his sleep?
The gun was in the bed, I went to move it. I put it to the side and then it went off.
Could be this is the first recorded casualty of an actual gun-humping?
Morning wood and itchy balls = premature discharge.
Maybe he wasnât afraid? Maybe he shot her on purpose?
Why isnât he going to be charged?
How many more people need to be shot/killed by a gun fetishist before we acknowledge that taking a gun to bed/putting it where a 2 year old can find it/waving it around in public is reckless endangerment?
Seriously. WTF?
A few things come to mind:
- That is some kinky kind of sex if you ask me.
- No safety onâŚOK.
- Gun discharges twiceâŚsheâs shot in the back and the side? WOW- when you roll over in your sleep.
- There are enough holes in this story to rival a slice of Swiss cheese.
- NEXT!
Heâd have a more believable story if the gun had shot him rather than her.
He should be the Rightiesâ poster child for âGood Guy With a Gun.â
Georgia foreplay? Never engage in fantasy sex with a cop!
Unfortunately, the God-given Second Amendment places no restrictions on gun ownership. BTW- When are Republicans going to lobby to have the first and second amendments switch places in the Bill of Rights?
Peachtree City Police Chief William McCollom called 911 around 4 a.m.
And he probably called his union rep first around 3:45am.
