This is why Turmp is so enraged and confused. This is what he thinks the law is and how it works. The law is a cudgel that strong, tough, smart, powerful people use to harm their enemies and that their enemies, pathetic though they may be, use to try to harm them. The law is a cudgel used to inflict pain and misery on those who have slighted or harmed you, or who just have something you want. The law is what strong people call keeping the little people in their place.
The idea of “rule of law” is alien to them, unfathomable, at best a hypocrisy that smart, tough, strong people use when using the law as a cudgel.
Actual rule of law and accountability do not exist. If something that looks like that is happening to them, it’s the result of their enemies using the law as a cudgel to harm them.

And yet somehow I’ve read more than once in various outlets about this situation where Donald raped his wife and I haven’t heard about any of those outlets being destroyed utterly. Like it was just bluster or something. Like there was never a $500 million lawsuit or any of the stuff he said. I really only see one person whose life is ruined, who’s in more trouble than he’ll ever get out from under, and funnily enough it’s not Tim Mak.

This is exactly what I pictured every Michael Cohen convo to be like.
He’s just a dumb thug and a bully. Gotta punch him out with some indictments and dare Trump to pardon him…oh yeah…that’s right…Taxi King gonna give some juicy stuff for NYS AG’s office to nail his ass to the wall. There are so many potential charges against Cohen that SDNY and NYS AG could draw straws for each potential charge.
How could such a nice man be accused of shaking down Ukraine, Novartis, AT&T, etc., and be suspected of having mob associates?
