“If Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a Republican, she is welcome in my party, as long as she brings the beer and pretzels… and a $50,000 check for my PAC.”
I can only imagine the torment
He said while taking a huge hit of amyl nitrate…
Yours is one of the best comments. ever!
Graham said that he is “a pro-life, traditional marriage kind of guy,” but suggested that he is running to be President of the whole country.
“If Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a Republican, she is welcome in my party,” Graham said.
…
That didn’t come as a complete surprise to anyone who’s kept up with the Kardashian-Jenner politics. At the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Kim Kardashian said her parents were Republicans. She also described herself a Democrat who was impressed with “Rick Santoro” [sic] at the dinner, but then she described herself as a “liberal Republican” in an interview with The Guardian published four months later. So figure that out.
…
Due to it being too early for snark, I’ll just say that maybe Dana Bash should have asked Senator Graham if Jenner is still welcomed in the Republican party.
Shorter Lindsey: Even Caitlyn Jenner can fit into my neoconservative vision for amurika. For more wars. For more wars. For more wars.
I too thought of being snarky after reading Graham’s comment about walking in Caitlyn shoes, but I have removed all mention of Graham’s strappy sandals and Jimmy Choos out of a need to be inclusive.
Lindsey Graham needs to show the very same empathy for the many Americans depending on Obamacare. He needs to walk a mile in the shoes of someone who needs healthcare not transcare. Nothing against Ms. Jenner.
“I haven’t walked in her shoes. I don’t have all the answers to the mysteries of life,” Graham added. “I can only imagine the torment that Bruce Jenner went through. I hope he’s — I hope she has found peace.”
Don’t get your hopes up, Lindsey. You ain’t never gonna be accepted for who you are in the Republican party, despite your efforts to out-scaremonger Dick Cheney.
So much possible snark, so little time.
I haven’t walked in her shoes.
I believe I deserve some sort of snark award for pretending Lindsey didn’t say this…
“I can only imagine the torment that Bruce Jenner went through. I hope he’s — I hope she has found peace.”
Lindsey needs to find his own peace and come out of the closet.
Hey, I’m no fan of Republicans, but I’m not going to throw abuse on Graham for being a bit ahead of the curve of most Americans on this subject, let alone most Republicans. A lot of liberals and progressives are … less-than-welcoming. Not the majority, but enough to really make it hurt, you know?
Kim Kardashian said her parents were Republicans. She also described herself a Democrat who was impressed with “Rick Santoro”
One of the reasons why I took the high road. She’s said that she’s a Santorum admirer.
After seeing her video, that’s no shock. It has been reported that she is a pearl necklace fan as well.
“Welcome in my party”
But, NOT welcome to any of our rights!
“If Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a Republican, she is welcome in my party,”
“Well…her vote is. Not much else.”
Mint juleps and pork rinds?
More like Cheese Whiz and grape jelly. Lindsey puts them on his crackers and licks it off.
“If she wants to be a Republican?” How tone deaf can you get? Jenner has been a life-long Republican. Is the GOP going to take a page from the Scientology playbook and require voters to be audited regularly to make sure they toe the party li(n)e? For freedumb?
