Discussion: Like Many Before Him, Mulvaney Seeks To Improve WH Communications Strategy

“he is looking to beef up the team and send more surrogates out for TV hits”

Why bother? Don’t they have FOX all to themselves?

So they have money in their budget, they have people who need jobs now before moving on to the Trump 2020 re-election campaign, and so it’s just paid on the job training.

So Mulvaney’s idea is to tell more and better lies. Much surrogates! Many falsity! Wow.

In election news. Krugman’s complaints against Biden and Bernie. Not that they can’t get elected, just that they both think they can get republicans to buy in to their possible policy plans and won’t get stonewalled like Obama was.

Why wait to RESPOND with a LIE, when you can PROACTIVELY LIE?

At first I thought it was an AP story when the Title line read…“Like Many Before Him…”

Mulvaney is unlike ANY before him.

He is working for an insane, corrupt, bigoted Russian Asset.

Wow…you mean like actually SHOWING UP to the podium? Giving NEWS from the WH and not some Donnie Tweet BS? Not LYING directly from there? Treating newspeople with respect? Hmmmm?

All politicians have strategies to get Republican votes. Remember when Chuck Schumer said this?:

“For every blue-collar Democrat we lose in western Pennsylvania, we will pick up two moderate Republicans in the suburbs in Philadelphia, and you can repeat that in Ohio and Illinois and Wisconsin.”

How’d that pan out?

Mick Mulvaney is just plain creepy.

And to tell them sooner, being proactive in creating the false narrative rather than reactive to factual disclosure.

@longtimeobserver I should have read further before posting but it’s such a long thread :smirk:

So Mulvaney’s “communication strategy” is to lie harder and more frequent? Good luck with that…

I am curious about something, why do we believe anything that comes out of any agency heads or spoken person are telling the truth. This also includes the economy information of the low employment rate or economy growth. Trump when he was running for president always stated that the information was in error, so now that he runs the government, I think he makes up this data to show how good he is. Remember he got the AG Barr to lie, so why not the Labor Statistic head to lie or Mulvaney to lie about anything.

Tough task when working with such a low brow idiot…will need an army of morons to simply “restate” or explain what Trump was attempting to say… made ever more difficult since the prez doesnt know himself WTF he is talking about…

And if those two can’t understand this, what does it suggest about the others (and their fans)?

I think Trump is doing a good job communicating his white nationalist pro-Russia positions quite well. He is turning off over 60% of all Americans just like he planned.

I can’t decide which I think is more loathsome, Mulvaney or Lindsey Graham.

Mick, broadcasting that he has nothing to do as Chief of Staff, destroyer of the CPB, and chief explosives engineer of the OMB, wants to take on WH Communications.

The acting chief of staff is … merely seeking to fan out a phalanx behind the President to amplify and support whatever message he’s spitting into the Twitter universe.

I think that I know what he has in mind:
