Discussion for article #227391
But liberal groups aren't letting the issue go.
Nor should they
Terrible headline! It’s not “past” personhood support. He repudiated the state initiative, but to this day he remains a co-sponsor of the Federal personhood bill. When asked by a local NBC reporter last week, he said the Federal bill is “different” but wouldn’t say how.
He (and his Republican colleagues Coffman and Beaupreauz) refuse to say whether over-the-counter should be covered by insurance. Gardner claims OTC will be “cheaper,” but there’s no evidence for that. There’s plenty of competition among prescription versions of the pill. And women would have to pay themselves.
Please don’t brand Gardner opponents as “liberals” – we’re progressives, we’re moderates, we’re liberal, we’re women who think women should have reasonable access to contraception.
Where are all these Liberals? I’d like to meet them and construct a Liberal movement. We sure don’t have one now.
Excellent point! Accuracy matters.
More than just liberals despise this guy and his Party’s efforts to control people and especially women.
Remember, besides being a personhood freak, Gardner is 100% Republican teabagger and all that comes with it.
