Very good point. IIRC, it was released directly to Congress, who didn’t even read it before voting to release it publicly.
Questioning her judgment is fine, especially if we take her age into account, but calling her a “whore” seems a bit much to me.
Yeah, well. Republicans have two sets of standards – one for themselves and one for everybody else.
John Oliver did a great interview with Monica Lewinsky. For how young she was and for how she was vilified (and is still vilified by some @bonvivant), I’m amazed how okay she seems to be.
That is a really good segment to view.
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Democrats are far from perfect, but there has for a long time been a big difference between how Republicans and Democrats handle the bull shit done by their own party members.
She has put a good deal of thought into what she did and some aspects of what happened.
And she’s no longer a kid.
(No doubt she’s still hurting.)
She raped Saint Bill!
I wish I had some sockpuppet accounts so I could “Like” that more than once,
The GOP also plays to win. A GOP led house would have had the subpoena ready to go the minute a Democratic AG released this bullshit report. A GOP committee chair would have sent subpoenas the minute Democrats refused to supply requested documents. The GOP minority leader would not go before a group lobbying for a foreign government to throw a freshman GOP rep under the bus.
I, like you, hold to the chivalrous view and avoid such labels for women. That said, her own written statements do not square with some innocent seduced by some cad. She said her, “affair with Clinton was one between two consenting adults”. Her tabloid-ish treatment by the press was inexcusable.
One young journalist, a certain Jake Tapper, even called attention to his own journalistic prowess by writing a disgraceful article about a date he’d had with her in earlier days.
Hell, you can buy it on Amazon. That’s what happens when the subject is a Democrat.
If fucking only indeed.
Sounds like misogyny right out of Breitbart. Terrible, hateful language.
Not only was the Starr report immediately published, every salacious bit in it (and some that weren’t) was leaked ahead of time in a nonstop stream of weaponized leaks.
If it had been Trump in the Oval Office with a cigar, the Repubs would have shrugged it off and continued packing the courts and gutting voting rights and healthcare.
