So Corey’s book was “Trump is GREAT, but he yells and likes Big Macs”. How did he not get sued???
It’s totally unenforceable. But Trump, the sleaze, has been deploying NDA’s ever since Roy Cohn charged him for the first one. And it puts the burden on the employee to find out, or to remain quiet out of fear. So, once again, IOKIYAR. And, The Divine Right of Kings.
“It is typical, and you know it, to sign an NDA in any place of work,” she said.
Funny, I’ve worked in a lot of places and never had to sign one. One more way that they’re in touch with the average working person I guess.
Ha. I think the people who claim being a “business man” somehow make you more qualified than anyone else don’t know many actual “business men”.
They will certainly try, but once the election is won, there is technically no longer a campaign… It would be interesting to see the exact language for one thing. And yes, some judge can throw still make a real dumb decision.
I also wish no one (except maybe a prosecutor) asked Corey Lewandowski any question ever (Well, I admit I’d be tempted to check out his pierogi recipe.)
Yeah I’m with you. I’ve never known anyone who signed an NDA for a job or was ever asked to.
So we have to hear what we already know, or could have learned from someone credible, from this walking asswipe?
The has to be the only true statement Lewandowski ever made by him.
I remember back when I signed my first NDA. I was 9, and offered to mow my elderly neighbor’s lawn so I could earn some ice cream money. I had to ask one of my parents co-sign the NDA.
To this day, I still make lemonade like she did, but I can’t share the recipe, or even tell you how her lawnmower started, because of that damn piece of paper!
NDAs seem pretty common in the software industry. I’ve had to sign one at every corporate job I’ve had for a decade. But before that, I worked in the public ed sector (also writing software) for about 10 years, and I was never asked to sign an NDA.
NDAs usually appear when the nature of a business or industry is such that it could be eviscerated by one person sharing a small piece of information with competitors. I bet Campbell’s has NDAs that cover their soup recipes, and Tesla has NDAs that cover their propriety battery chemistry, but that John Deere and Dyson don’t have NDAs for most employees.
Correction: “…and pressured folks with bribes and threats to stay quiet.”
So many thoughts on that. I always preferred the person who was into their craft and then the business. The person who advertises their MBA and seems to always be on the golf course leaves me unimpressed. In experience, they will make the most wretched decisions, pawn the hard stuff on to lower parties and then cop a “what could I do, my hands are tied” attitude.
Sound familiar.
As with a do not compete an very broad nda will not be enforcable. You can not force someone to relocate cross country in order to find employment in their profession. Just like you can not stifle all speach. Trumps nda appear like you could not say excuse me without a breach, therefore only enforcable if you can out spend the other person on lawyers.
I bet he’s the world’s worst cook.
There was a rustling in the cellar, yeah, verily, a disturbance in the Forced, as the abused, dominated, downtrodden and soulless myriads of Trumpified minions looked up and realized they might be free to speak, to whistle, to Tell All.
I whole heartedly second that motion!
I don’t know, though. If it’s a really good pierogi recipe…
I hope ( but don’t really expect) that the Trumpian debacle has put paid to the notion that we need businessmen in office.
