Divided they fall.
I remember when they never fell.
The heartbreaking news is about the OTHER GOP senators who are perfectly fine with killing people so billionaires can get a tax cut.
Not enough is being written about these sickos.
These are the public nos. Laurence OâDonnell claims that the number of yes votes was in the single digits.
Excellent headline. Had to laugh out loud.
Thanks, Tierney.
Hey, theyâre just Noble Patriots, celebrating The 4th of July, . Independence Day. Independence from reasonable health care, humanity, compassion, morals, ethics, etc, etc, etcâŚ
Down thirteen flights of filthy, wet and slippery stairs littered with tacks, rusty nails, bags of two-week old garbage (including used Pampers and various kitchen scraps, thrown-out leftovers, snotty rags ⌠your typical garbage-filled bags and accompanying flies), the occasional shard of glass, sharp rocks and used kitty litter on each step.
When they reach the bottom, theyâll obviously require immediate medical attention. Too bad local taxes have been slashed and federal and state grants for healthcare have been decimated. Ambulances will take awhile to show up â theyâre tending to more life-threatening situations and the senatorsâ requests for assistance are being triaged. Additionally, when they are picked up, theyâll be diverted to the public hospital located in the lower SE side of the city due to overcrowding. When they arrive, theyâll have to take a number.
Hopefully we the people can solidify this division during this recess by making ourselves heard loud and clear.
Last night Lawrence put up a graphic showing the âYesâ votes. There were five. I looked for the graphic but videos on MSNBCâs site are too tedious. I do remember it being a cast of the usual ghoulish suspects, and included McConnell, Hatch and Imhofe.
A real orator like Ted Kennedy is sorely missed at such an hour!
Really curious about Burr. That would be a big âgetâ.
If they donât pass the BCRA, then the Republicans and Trump continue to torpedo Obamacare so insurers keep bailing out, and uncertainty causes more instability and premium increases until it dies. Then they blame Obamacare itself and Democrats. Thatâs plan B, right? Then what? Do democrats have a health care plan in place to offer? Will they engage in the discussions for repair or replacement then? Because Republicans are very good at blaming others for what they themselves have done. And a significant number of people believe them because they hear it so often without much push back due to a complicit media, and because they simply donât pay attention or put forth the energy to learn the facts. If the Republicans do not pass their plan this time, I really think that Democrats need to offer a good plan to fix and expand Obamacare, and talk up the benefits. Right now, people are ready for that, if it can get past Republican blockades. Make it clear that Republicans remain determined to take away health care, Democrats are trying to do something better than weâve already got (and try to keep Trump out of the way).
He may have been an orator, but when he got sick he refused to resign. If he had, he could have hand picked his successor and INSTEAD we got that GOP idiot replacement who hurt health care reform.
Ego matters, and Kennedy hurt the cause he was supposed to be interested in.
What is the point of this maekish performace? To give Trump a win on something he hasnât even tried to understand?!
Backsliding at warp speed!
We seem this kabuki dance for 8+ years. Like I said, everyone of these repubs. is a yes vote for Trumpkill. And that goes for the so-called moderates (they sold that title out Jan. 2009).
The only question for me, how much longer people willing to tolerate this travesty? Are people going to sleep walk through the next mid-term election (just like the past) or wait still the last minute to register then find out you have a problem? Listen to the same excuse about the politician/party didnât do enough or that you were too busy to vote early or that they move the voting places so you couldnât vote?
Its one thing to be angry but another to be angry and do nothing about it. This is on us.
Heh-heh. Nice fantasy, but more likely theyâll be helicoptered to a world-class Level 1 trauma center where theyâll receive concierge service.
I fear they are all just going to salute and fall in line, even though the bill has a 1 in 6 approval rating.
They are all OK with it. There are only a few haggling over the price.
Your scenario is far more likely, and that really sucks.
