Discussion: LePage Tries To Block Medicaid Expansion In Maine By Labeling It 'Welfare'

If I call LePage a decent human being and a capable governor, does that change reality in any way?

Firebrand! Seriously?! I’m sure there are better, more fitting descriptions out there.

In other words, it’s our money, and we can choose to save-and-share it with our neighbors in need.

Much better than giving it to LePage to pass out to his political cronies. That’s welfare.

The only people left in GOP leadership are fanatics, grifters, and thieves, and every single f3cking one of them is a sadist.

Whatever bill they pass, I hope it covers the 350 lb. of weight loss surgery LePage needs (judging from the photo).

It would be unfortunate that D-Money, Smoothie and Shifty got prostate exams at no cost to themselves.

It’s amazing whether LePage or Trump is the bigger asshole.

However, after counting all the votes, Trump is still the champion. Sad.

In previous posts trying to explain LePage’s plurality election “victory” the citizens of Maine have been portrayed as hapless victims. If they fall for this transparent gambit, we’ll have to conclude that they’re collectively self-destructive.
In that event the best course for a rational Mainer might be to move somewhere else.
The smartest young people have been doing that in the deep red states for decades.

LePage is in his second term. He was demonstrably crazy for the duration of his first. Rendering a verdict on the sanity of Maine citizens is a simple exercise in logical deduction.

They can call expanded Medicaid a banana for all I care, so long as it covers that colonoscopy someone may need or takes care of Mainers healthcare needs in general. Calling it ‘welfare’ is a misnomer and obviously nothing more than misleading political speech. Expanded Medicaid is health insurance as evidenced by how its oversight is handled by the federal agency in charge. Anyone that rules in LePuke’s favor is a political tool of the governor.

Btw, expanded Medicaid in most cases is for people who are gainfully employed but just don’t make enough to make ends meet to afford healthcare on top of their wages. That’s what happens when Republicans are fixated on giving tax breaks to the 1% instead of raising the minimum wage to a living wage as costs increase for more than a generation.

Get lost, down Maine moron!

This is politics. The slogan is “what have you done for us lately?”
If they reject this, I’ll be happy.
We have to go for the electoral votes regardless.

Here’s what I don’t get…

LePage’s allies have echoed his message that Medicaid expansion will benefit undeserving immigrants.

How in the holy hell does this d-bag have any allies at this point?
He is a complete and total buffoon, apparently incapable of acting as a civilized person, much less a leader of anything other than the crank brigade.

What can we label LePage? Loathsome? Unfit? Incompetent? An idiot (with a apologies to idiots everywhere)? The scum of the Earth?
