Why is this SO big of an issue to LePage that he would threaten to sue the Sec. of State over the wording? All about use of rw “threat” words - aka racist dog whistles. Dog whistles that go away when it is worded clearly.

All bluster and no winning ideas. Slink back into oblivion with the end of your term, sir. You won’t be missed.

Well, it is welfare. Social welfare. We live in a welfare state, it just doesn’t go quite far enough.

Like “socialism” and even “liberal,” “welfare” is a word/concept that needs to be rehabilitated so more people understand these things to be positive.
