People don’t understand statistics. 2016 was mostly about a single race - Trump vs Clinton. Today is about hundreds of races. Yes Clinton was projected to win, what, a 70% chance? That’s a 30% chance that she wouldn’t win. With hundreds of races, yes some results will go the way that’s predicted, some won’t. But it’s very unlikely that most of the predictions will be wrong.

Per Rachel Maddow, my county in Southern California is ground zero because of its four toss up congressional seats.

My belief:
Cable and MSM screwed up because most are WDC insiders and wealthy.
I enjoy their panels because they know what I don’t know, but they do not seem to know what we the commoners know or think.
What I am trying to say is they should get their butts out of DC and talk with real people not actors.

Michael Moore regularly echoes those same sentiments.

Everybody laughed when he predicted Toadglans Spankee would win. And then…. When asked how he knew, he said, simply, “I know these people.”

It would have helped if MSM had shown Hillary’s actual policies instead of all the ‘her emails’ headlines.

I would like to see an article about the networks ACTUALLY learning from their 2016 mistakes by not countering truth with falsehoods. Not pretending that lies need to be given due and solemn consideration. Not only interviewing republicans and country folk as if they were the only real americans. And maybe doing a little investigative reporting like I remember them doing in the 70’s when i was a kid.

this was also my chief complaint after September 11th. So much coverage of brokerage house widows and businessmen. and apart from lauding firefighters and police - little mention or interviews with families of secretaries, electricians, bus boys, waiters etc

Whoever thought OC would be at the center of the storm? The party for volunteers for the Democratic State Senate candidate is being held on Main St. in Seal Beach after the polls close. A first.
