Discussion for article #239952
Iām pretty sure a lot of peaceful folks in Canada would sleep better at night knowing the crazies were locked out on the other sideā¦
ā¦and donāt they remember who said, āTear down this wall!ā?
Thatās what puzzles me about these wall yearning freaks.
Walker and the GOP are trying to make out that their anti-Mexican nativist xenophobic shit isnāt about race. Of course this batshit crazy idea isnāt going to fool anyone, but letās not pretend that this sad-sack move by the moronic Walker is not about having something to point to as a countercharge to the valid criticism that this nativist crap is not anything other than fear of brown folks coming across the border.
āSee, we want to stop those white hoards from the North tooā
Sad. Truly sad.
āElection season always brings out crazy ideas, but this is one of the craziest,ā Leahy said in a Monday statement.
You aināt seen nothinā yet.
(H/T to that dangerous immigrant Randy Bachman!)
āTear down this wallā a famous Reagan quoteā¦but the current crop must think him a ā¦liberal for saying something that reasonable.
The current crop hate any immigrant forgetting we are all immigrants of one sort or another. My own family got to N. America before there was a United States to be part of. But that is mostly irrelevant. Repubs have an ingrown fear. Fear of what is new, fear of the unknown, fear of the āotherā. The GOP politicians know this and capitalize on it not realizing that in the long run it will destroy their party. Fear and hatred are not sustainable in the long term because they do untold damage. We canāt shut the world out even if we wanted to. Americans are from everywhere. Republicans hate that idea They want the US population to be lily white, English speaking, and subservient. The antithesis of free.
Yeah, but all the sheriffs of Phoenix, Tucson and the surrounding desert would have to do is start pulling over motor homes and fifth wheel campers, looking for illegal Canadian immigrants. Then Iād believe for a second that it isnāt all about racism.
Wisconsin does have a border with Canada. Itās in the middle of Lake Superior (one of the big ā very bigāreasons a wall canāt be done), but itās a border. Gov. Walker has forgotten it too, though Iām sure there are ships crossing the border every day.
Say, wasnāt that dipstick who filmed the fake fetal tissue sales pitch also the guy who sailed a fishing boat from Windsor to Detroit, just to prove how easy the terrorists are sailing in?
I see this as a testimonial to the extent that Donald Trump controls the discourse in the GOP campaign. Add to this Chris Christieās inane comment about tracking foreign visitors like Fex-Ex packages and you can almost feel the desperation. All this does is validate Trumpās insane rhetoric. It only strengthens the man.
Truly pathetic
It would be cheaper to float a buoy rope than build The Rumpās wall.
āScott Walker: A wall between the U.S. and Canada is a ālegitimate issueā that should be considered.ā
Apparently, Roger Waters is consulting on the 2016 GOP platform.
(G-d, I feel really old.)
Canadians would welcome the wall and keep the tea partiers and gun nuts out.
"Nothing unites like fear and hate."
Ahhā¦that makes a lot of sense. Josh Duggar is merely auditioning for the āYoung Lustā song! JEB is going to do āComfortably Numbā, and Carly is āMotherā?
How would it work crossing the lakes?
no ice backs!!
āSo farā being the operative phase. There is still 15 months until the election. Be prepared for more silliness!
But, Senator! Wisconsin is a border state! Course, the border is Lake Superior and I dunno how Scottie is planning to build his wall there, but those are just detailsā¦
