Discussion for article #224313
Sanctity is a big word for traditional voters.
a bunch of fucking sore losers it was the revival of acorn that did it sue, impeach Obama, he told the african american voters to go out and vote for Thad.
“After I read the hundreds of pages of observer reports, and rack up as many billable hours as I can in this pointless bluster, I will have more information for you,” the attorney, J. Christian Adams, said."
FIFY
Loser.
Voters, not Republican voters. This is a nonsense strategy and will back fire badly if McDaniel tries it.
That’s a nice picture of McDaniel and his top Tea Party lawyer. They both look ready to dive into those observer reports.
The “voter integrity initiative” sounds like code for White Citizens Councils. They ain’t fooling nobody with that shit.
Well, some of the more idiotic right-wing conservatives believe that voting out RINOs, even if it means voting for a Democrat, will get them to the desired level of party purity the quickest, so perhaps we can persuade them to crossover and vote for the Democratic candidate in November, to return the favor…
Politico asked Cuccinelli if his group would consider challenging the runoff results in court but Cuccinelli hung up.
Earlier on Tuesday McDaniel refused to concede after various news outlets called the race for Cochran. Instead he suggested that his campaign would take new steps to fight the election results.
Who says the Tea Party ain’t a class act?
Heh.
to think that black voters participated in a GOP primary must be especially ironic for the emancipation party.
I like how you think!
“Now it’s our job to make sure that sanctity of the vote is upheld. Before this race ends we have to be absolutely certain that the Republican primary was won by Republican voters,” McDaniel said.
Wow, broken clock is right again! I also abhor the laws that allow someone who is registered as a member of an opposing party to vote in my party’s primary.
I would dearly love to read some of those observer reports. “Well, damn! I saw three uppity nigras come into the polling place, and they were allowed to vote! I knew they couldn’t be real Republican voters, but we couldn’t find a poll worker who was willing to stand up to those agitators.”
Given that it’s an open primary state, what could these observers possibly say? A poll worker can ask only two questions. Registered to vote? Check. Didn’t vote in the Democratic primary? Check. End of inquiry.
“Traditional values” is a euphemism for white Christianist bigotry.
Ummmmm… everybody?
Popping up some popcorn now.
The ghost of Acorn. People see the world the way they see themselves. The Republican obsession with voter integrity betrays the propensity of some in their party to do exactly that. Of course, the stated reason, democrats voting in the election, is just an attempt to scapegoat or avoid stating the obvious, that Republicans loyal to Cochran may be their real target.
Just saw McDaniel’s non-concession speech. This guy is why Paul Ryan is considered one of the GOTP’s brightest minds: Compared to empty, angry suits like McDaniel, Ayn Ryan IS a genius!
