I don’t think this is a newsworthy story.
Not blaming TPM, as another outlet reported already.

We really are just going to relive the 90s all over again, aren’t we?

FOX: We will have an all-day special with Anita Hill this Sunday. Hannity will interview both accusers live. Trump will be chief guest. /s

Why is this not a newsworthy story? He used his power and privilege to grope a young law student. It’s a big story because it adds gravitas to Anita Hill’s account of his behavior. You can bet there’s more. Would two more be better? How about three? What’s the line for you to be newsworthy?

People forget but there were other women besides Anita Hill who had troubling behavior from Thomas but they were never called before Congress because the GOP was determined to see him confirmed.

I hope that women; Republicans, Democrats, independents will find the courage to come forward and confront their accusers. Period. It isn’t about politics, its about being treated with respect.

Shameful, but not shocking. What is shocking, as others have pointed out, is that this man has sat on the Supreme Court for the last 25 years. He’s no “impartial justice” and I hope he soon retires or goes “full Scalia.” He is a national embarrassment.

That word does not mean what you think it means. The word you want is “weight”.

gravitas
noun

  1. seriousness or sobriety, as of conduct or speech.

I always felt nominating Thomas was a mistake. I believed Anita Hill who stood in front of her whole family and Congress and spoke out. I like what Smith says here about complicity. This is news because unless the problem of powerful men exerting sexual aggression against women in the workforce is addressed and talked about, the problem will continue to own us. Glad Marshall, et al, are not afraid to address this historical trend in our country. This election has been good in that many leaders in both parties and in our media are talking about a problem that our kids can learn to avoid as future leaders. It’s been a hard election, but very helpful about who we are and what we want for our kids.

Thomas: “What am I gonna’ do? What am I gonna’ do? If Massa Scalia wuzn’t murdered by that Clinton woman, he’d know what to do!”

Blair, the party’s host and the foundation executive, said he was shocked to hear about Smith’s accusation and that he recalled party the being "spectacularly successful.”

WTF? One of his charges is sexually assaulted by a sitting SC justice, and he’s concerned that people will understand that it was a great dinner party?

The Justice sounds remarkably like Donald J. Trump.

So the party was "spectacularly successful.” How is the success or failure of the event relevant? so one other person misremembers who was at the event, contradicting everyone else. How is that relevant.

But anyway it was obvious what kind of guy Thomas was from the hearings, not to mention the testimony that was not heard from others. This is just one more confirmation. And his “high tech lynching” statement was one of the most willfully duplicitous misleading propagandistic statements in history.

Another Trumped-up charge.
