Discussion: Lawsuit Takes Aim At Trump Admin's Skimpy 'Short-Term' Health Plans

If a “man” would cut his own sick nephew off from healthcare despite suffering from seizures and cerebral palsy, why would he care for anyone else’s health?

What ever happened to Spanky’s “$20/person/month/allows prior conditions/covers all” plan he promised us during the campaign?
This one sounds a lot like the same ole same ole gop
“Don’t get ill.
If you get ill, die quickly” plan they pushed for years.

Once that short term period runs out, you’re screwed if you had a claim during the coverage period as the pre existing conditions come into play.

So let’s see: there is, presumably, a problem that some people cannot afford a policy on the ACA exchanges. We can either a) let them buy junk insurance that doesn’t cover squat and which will result in an increase in bankruptcies as well as an increase in overall healthcare costs or b) increase the number of people who receive subsidies so that they can actually afford real coverage. Guess which solution the Republican Party favors?

Of course - that’s why the insurance companies love these plans.

The solution informed by comprehensive economic research and social science, that seeks to measurably improve outcomes for individuals without regard to their socioeconomic class, religious affiliation, or ethnicity, and in a way that is designed to function over the long term?

Please let it be that one.

But , but , but , Dumpy promised …

It’s too bad we don’t have Question Time here, as they do in Great Britain–45 would be forced to account on live TV for his lack of follow-through on this and so many other key issues and his ignorance of basic policy would be on display for all to see. In fact, if Question Time or an equivalent were in place here, it’s hard to see how someone like 45 could survive…
