Discussion: Lawsuit: Florida For-Profit College Used Exotic Dancers To Recruit Students

Discussion for article #230834

Hmmm… exploiting women’s looks to lure in and influence slow-witted dupes.

Sounds just like Fox News.

Why hate on the invisible hand of the free market? The government should let these fine educators alone. Though perhaps some of these students had different expectations for this particular “education” institution.

I live in the area, and I can’t say I have ever heard of this institution. Maybe they operate individual campuses under separate “brand” names, just like Corinthiian – another for profit diploma mill that was also recently shut down – had done.
If so, it would have been interesting and helpful to mention the names of these “brands.”.

It’s about time that regular students got treated like scholarship athlete recruits! Good for them!

I hadn’t realized Rick Scott had gotten into the for-profit education business (that is, outside of his day job).

The guys thought they were going to get screwed. They were right. I have to wonder if Uncle Sugar was hoping to get a little too.

The Germans have cleverly avoided this whole government subsidized
for-profit education scam by setting their university tuition rates to zero.

“FastTrain.”

Because “Night Train” was already taken.

The story sounds like it would be perfect for one of Carl Hiassen’s novels.
