EDIT TO ADD: I see he is the son-in-law to a big Russian oligarch, and is expected to plead guilty today. The case against Manafort is closing in tightly.

Well, I imagine it to be one of the busses that transports in custody defendants to and from the courthouse and jail. So its big and has something like 18 whelels and could survive losing one or two.
Maybe, but this was filed Feb. 16th. Of course Gates could already have given up everything by then, even if he hasn’t officially pleaded guilty yet.

Ha, ha, sounds like maybe Gates’ flip is bringing down a lawyer, too. If that’s the start, then one can only imagine how much damage he can do to the main players. No wonder, Manafort is suicidal.
The firm in question is already neck deep in sleaze. Anyone connected in any manner with a “Russian Oligarch” is now officially under a blanket of suspicion - we’ll see how this plays out.

Seems like a pretty clear message to Person A: your time is up.
So Gates is talking to the sons of oligarchs who lie to investigators about the conversations. I think in looking for collusion we’re past the smoke and into the fire at this point. And that’s just what’s public. This is the point the rollercoaster crests the first peak and starts heading down, picking up speed.
ETA German Khan is a biggie at Alfa, the group that includes the bank the Trump server was pinging. So that’s interesting. If that’s how they got hacked voter-roll information back to Russia to use in targeting, this investigation is over. I have to wonder if Trump could survive that coming out.
I think two facts are notable about this bit of news:
(1) Skadden is one of the wealthiest and most powerful law firms in the world, earning billions a year, with a ridiculous number of well-connected lawyers. The fact that Mueller is tangling with them (even in a minor way) is fascinating.
(2) The fact that he is publicly charging a law firm associate with lying has to be putting a lot of other staffers and minor players on notice. Don’t lie to the Mueller team, folks.
