I saw this on This Morning. A bit later, Peggy Noonan gave her rave review of Natanyahu’s speech. Not one person addressed the disrespect to the President. Nor did they discuss how dangerous it was to allow a foreign prime minister to interfere with a coalition of nations attempting to negotiate a nuclear agreement.
These people wave their American flag and talk of patriotism, but they are treasonous bastards who are so bent on embarrassing the US President that we will end up at war with Iran. You would think that at some point people would realize that the recent wars haven’t gone well. It’s as if some won’t be satisfied until there’s another world war.
I wonder how many people who are loving Netanyahu today are willing to see their children and grandchildren go fight in Iran. None. We won’t see it. The GOP will beat the war drum so that other people’s children can fight and die.
They make me sick.

There may be other reasons as well, but since the two French presidents during the GWB presidency, Chirac and Sarkozy, were both right wingers, no I cannot.

Indeed. They’ve been throwing a temper tantrum for 6+ years for “racist reasons” and it should be pointed out relentlessly whenever the opportunity arises.

You have to believe that Boener invited Netanyahu rather than Netanyahu just telling him that he was coming first. I’ll say that that is how it happened.
Even if the Republicans aren’t being directly racist, there is always the hate of the black President at the core of all their motivation. Also, its racist to hate on immigrants and that is what this stupid, pointless, losing fight was about. Then there is the Jewish thing. So this is like triple racism with a splash of superiority complex to top it off.
I am a very serious liberal and get the civil rights movement, but I have given up on Wilmore. He would be better served if occasionally he put down the racial lense.
If you want to make a Republican’s head explode, ask him the following: If by opposing Netanyahu, you are against the State of Israel, aren’t you against the United States when you oppose Obama? Pretty much the only answer will be that it’s different, because Obama is black. Of course, he or she won’t put it exactly that way. But that’s the substance of the argument.

These are some of the same congressmen who invited the cast of “24” to testify at the Capital on terrorism. Probably on our dime, too.

Actually, yes, I can. When President Truman fired General MacArthur during the Korea War, the Republican leadership of Congress invited him to address a joint session of Congress. Granted, MacArthur was no foreign leader, but it was definitely a “platform from which to piss on them”. So, I think this qualifies as “remotely similar”.
