So what if there was slavery like, what, 150 years ago? Who cares? Anything that happened 150 years ago has no bearing on anything that’s happening today and there’s no reason to even talk about it. IT’S ANCIENT HISTORY! IT’S OVER!

Of course, we do have to keep the Confederate flag flying to honor the past. That’s just heritage.
