Discussion for article #232282
Haven’t seen this one yet, but we really liked the first one. Liked the large panel discussion, kinda like Maher. I hope it does well. In the first episode, he went after Sharpton, and in the second he went after Cosby. Wonder if there was a tactical reason for doing that on the first two shows.
Yet another panel show? To replace Colbert? I give it very long odds of succeeding.
Haha…merciless…this gives me hope for his show.
There is nothing wrong with another panel show especially if Wilmore uses it as a forum for getting other voices heard. But I think he should expand beyond just being a panel show because I find his take on the issues of the day to be both different and slyly intelligent. But, at the same time, it’s a good thing that Wilmore is not trying to become a character ala Colbert.
most likely. Just a guess, establishing that he’s not going to play favorites, neither with race nor with political persuasion. I loooove Jon Stewart, and he does criticize Obama and Hillary and Democrats, but it is pretty clear that Stewart is a liberal and he spends most of his time lampooning Republicans and conservatives.

Pleasantly surprised…good Cosby impression, BTW…Colbert’s a tough guy to follow but Wilmore can hold the camera. Break a leg and other good wishes!!!
