Mikey was doing pretty badly as Dotard’s attorney bagman too. What changed?
An omen for anyone and everyone close to Donald J. Trump.
There’s a solution for that. Don’t be a crook.
I have no doubt this is a miserable experience for Michael Cohen. I hope he learns the right lessons from it. He’ll be out of prison in a few years, and perhaps he can turn over a better leaf for his life’s third act.
May be hard to do after getting fried on the Trump Third Rail…
Maybe Cohen should have thought about his family starting 20 years ago instead of following a life of crime and caught up in what he perceived as the glitter of tRump’s world.
Let’s be honest most of what he’s devastated about is the fact he’s going to jail. Guilty maybe about his kids and wife.
I do not feel sorry for him, like tRump it’s all of his own doing.
Yes, He said yesterday that he was “leading a personal and mental incarceration” ever since he went to work for Trump.
Now he’ll lead one without the good food, flashy sport coats, and the company of his family.
"What I’m going to do to you is going to be FUCKING DISGUSTING!!!’
Just going to leave that there in case I’m tempted to feel sorry for the rat bastard.
Redemption is possible. But it has to be earned, and it takes a lot more than spilling your guts when you’re trying to lessen your punishment.
Lanny Davis said Thursday that Michael Cohen was doing “pretty badly” when they last spoke a couple days ago.
Davis is Cohen's co-counsel of record regarding the crimes Cohen was sentenced for yesterday. Yesterday. Yet Davis' last communication with Cohen was a couple days ago. He had no communications with him yesterday? He's his co-counsel? WTF?
This was all in Cohen’s hands. All he had to do was come completely clean with the SDNY, but he chose not to do so. Why? I’m not sure, but perhaps the calculation was he’d face even more time for other crimes he’s committed. As such, I can’t feel sorry for him. He didn’t have to shake people down and hang with seedy characters like Trump and Ukrainian mob guys. Now, excuse me while I look for my “I don’t care, do you” jacket.
And let me not forget he was Trump’s conduit to Russia in the Moscow Tower deal, and not once did he care he was potentially selling out the country in the process.
A lifetime of checking your soda and coffee for polonium would be more stressful than 36 months in jail.
Yeah it sucks when some of the illegal shit you knowingly did comes to light and you have to pay for it with time in jail. And this is only for the shit he did around the election. Imagine all the other years of shit!
Unlike Trump, Cohen has admitted his wrongs and is facing his punishment.
I don’t feel sorry for him but I put him several notches above Trump.
"He was doing pretty badly.’ … and that’s like, a good thing. He appears to be crawling back towards the value system that makes most humans decent.
Awwww. Do we feel sorry for Cohen? No. No we don’t.
If you caught him on Maddow last night , he said that the minute Mueller releases his report Cohen is going to spill all the dirt ala John Dean
Interesting times indeed
Witness to history
Trump had nothing to do with Cohen’s tax evasion or his sketchy use of Taxi medallions.
He was a crook when Trump hired him—probably why Trump hired him in the first place.
Hooking up with his father-in-law certainly wasn’t a good career choice.
Womp womp.
He admitted to some of his wrongs, it’s not at all clear that he admitted all of them (the SDNY memo suggests that he didn’t), and thought he deserved zero punishment as a result of having done so.
