Discussion: Labor Sec. Alexander Acosta's 'Abusive' Chief Of Staff To Be Fired

So when does Acosta get fired for his part in letting Jeffrey Epstein skate?

He looks like a real asshole.

Wow the DOL is just like any other business in America, they had that one guy who makes everyone else nuts.

And is it the Agency’s Secretary that is suppose to work on legislative matters? Maybe if Trump’s WH had someone to work on legislative matters with Congress…I guess they fell short.

Shorter Republicans:

Fucking underage girls, okay.

Yelling at subordinates, okay.

Failing to drown the government in the bathtub, not okay.

Your OneWordAnswer™: Never.

Epstein’s list of who fucked whom is apparently so long that it’s the one area of bipartisanship left to ensure that that stuff never becomes public.

Geale was prone to screaming fits of rage and “goes completely loony.”
“Nick came into my office screaming and yelling and throwing papers on my desk,” one former official said. “He’s abusive, he’s abrasive, he tries to be intimidating, he’s condescending.”

Isn’t this the New Republican, a la Trump? I really do not understand what he is being fired for.
His ultimate boss does things far worse.

OT- I have seen a significant increase in negative articles about Trump’s “easy” trade wars. He is destroying his base… and the rest of us and he doesn’t have a clue.

Which is why I’m surprised he’s leaving and didn’t get promoted to Secretary of Homeland Security.

So he’s supposedly fired for being abusive, when it appears he actually was fired because he wasn’t abusive enough. O those wacky Trumpsters. Abuse one-to-one doesn’t count; you have to mess up large groups like unions, migrant children, Muslims. He just couldn’t learn.

However, it seems like it wasn’t just Geale’s temper that got him fired. According to Axios, the White House felt that he didn’t push hard enough for deregulation and union crackdowns.

So it wasn’t the fact that he was an asshole - it was the fact that he was an ineffective asshole.

A White House investigation found that Acosta’s top aide, Nick Geale, had created a difficult work environment in the department. Ex-Trump administration officials tell Politico that Geale was prone to screaming fits of rage and “goes completely loony.”

Which can be said about Donald Trump, Lindsey Graham, Brett Kavanaugh, recently departed Beelzebub (Orrin Hatch), and Trump’s boyfriend, Sean Hannitty.

screaming fits of rage and “goes completely loony.”

I thought that was a Trump Administration job description. It’s been used to describe Trump in the White House.

I’m a pretty provincial guy but I’ve heard that when someone, say, an underling, has a monumental epiphany and realizes he’s working for, say, one of the most amoral people on the planet, they may get vocal. But that’s just what I’ve heard. From others. Possibly a friend. Maybe.

I suspect it’s not true in this instance.

Trump’s current COS should be worried.
