Oh shit you guys this could be a real national wave, if McGrath is winning.
Holding on to a 4% lead with nearly half the vote in. But we’d need a local expert to explain where the uncounted vote is coming from.
This is personal: Andy Barr was my high school debate arch-nemesis. He kicked my ass at State, senior year. He was a smug prick. I am so stoked for him to go down.
Tightening up…
Right now, McGrath is up district-wide. In Fayette County (Lexington), McGrath has 59%of the vote with 86% of the county precincts. Barr will get a lot of votes from the more rural counties. This will be very close at the end.
I waited about an hour and fifteen minutes to vote in Lexington this morning…longer than I ever have, even for presidential elections. Similar stories from everyone else. The news is saying historic turnout in Lexington. It will all come down to turnout.
Not looking good for Amy now…
Local news showing a slight McGrath lead. Still a few Fayette County precincts left, and she could get some votes from Franklin County. Don’t know if it will be enough though…
And now it’s really looking farther out of reach…
Local News calls it for Barr.
My feelings for us taking over the House are getting darker.
And my bubble is deflating. I think I might need to go to bed early
Hang on, Spanberger is leading (barely) in VA7 with 94% of the vote and most of the unreported precincts are in Chesterfield County, which is blue.
