Discussion: Koch Industries To Run Image Ad Urging Voters To Fix The 'Rigged' Economy

Thus we see the “Iron Fist in the Velvet Glove” that is the Koch Political Machine.
They know they cannot openly support a candidate as toxic as Trump, so they will work “around the edges” and try to subtlety influence voters to NOT VOTE for either candidate by stoking the “The System is Rigged!” meme (knowing full well that yes, it is rigged, in the Koch Bros. favor!) That way their toxic candidate has a better chance to win.

The guys who have worked so hard to keep every penny that flows through their companies now want people to think they care about the little guy or gal. Precious.

“We’re trying to encourage people to think about how do I succeed by helping others improve their lives” even if it involves doing things that “may not win me votes or get me a lot of money,” Koch told the AP.

Human sh*tstains.

Don’t be fooled guys: this is the same mentality that gets management at Wal-Mart to set up baskets, at Xmas time, in the employees lounge urging them to give to less fortunate fellow employees. They have no intention whatsoever of giving their employees a decent, livable wage, they think that other people should give them some handouts and feel good about themselves.

Well, our social marketing people said we need a new campaign to get the same things everyone pillories us for now, and we really don’t need the money.

Sounds good. Lets see how it works. First thing, take money out of politics - with a nod to, Buddy Roemer.

This is hilarious: a rigger wants to “fix” the rigged economy.

Reality check: once a John Bircher, always a John Bircher.

When they give everyone who works in any company they own at least a $15 hr minimum wage, with paid family leave, I will then start to listen to them. Until I see real actions, then it’s just another marketing scheme.

Concern trolling is what the Kochtopus Empire entities do. It’s their M.O. There’s the one that’s Very Concerned about healthcare, the one that flooded NC’s market with ads featuring an actress playing a mom who was Very Very Concerned about healthcare–the ones that helped tank Kay Hagan’s campaign and did likewise in other states. Whenever any politician or policy threatens the great cause of Oligarchic Neofeudal Warlordism, concern trolling ads by an entity only a few insiders realize is a Koch puppet will follow.

“[H]ow do I succeed by helping others improve their lives” even if it involves doing things that “may not . . . get me a lot of money”

  • Like demanding lower pay and fewer benefits to improve the return to shareholders, or
  • Eliminating OSHA to improve the return to shareholders, or
  • Eliminating environmental protections to improve the return to shareholders, or
  • Eliminating income taxes on the return to shareholders.

So much opportunity if the working class weren’t so selfish.

To the Koch brothers, the economy is rigged if they have to pay any taxes at all and aren’t free to pollute as much as they want. i.e. to them the economy is rigged against them, not everyone else.
