Wait, he hasnāt activated the magical migrant mathematical multiplier functionā¦
Five.
Fucking five.
OMG, massive voter fraud in Kansas.
What a fricken waste of time and money. He should be sanctioned bigly by the Court.
Blockhead, rises to national prominence among the GOP due to his devious schemes to deal legislatively with undocumented immigrants (pass such harsh laws that folks āself deportā), and how to restrict voting among legitimate voters by scape-goating undocumented immigrants into a voter fraud crisis.
Says a great deal about the vacuousy, lack of intellect, and/or belief that the only way to win elections is to cheat and a population to vilify in order to assure an us/they dichotomy to bond the āusā to vote for āusā out of fear.
I am so glad he is being made to look as empty, crooked, and legally vile as he really is. May his political shooting star status - crash deeply into the earth - like a cratered meteor.
Those alleged non-citizen voters cast collectively about 10-12 votes, the earliest in 2004, testimony revealed. According to the challengers in the case, thatās out of 1.3 million votes cast in the relevant time period in the county.
Unregistered voters voted 10 to 11 times in Wichita? Over fourteen years? 10 to 11 out of 1.3 million???
Holy shyte! This calls for drastic measures!
Sic 'em Kobach!!
FIVE??? This has gone far enough!!! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!!! The immigrant scourge must be stopped at all cost. How can we have honest, free, and fair elections when THOUSANDS of five people vote illegally in our elections?
Thereās fraud in Kansas but it has nothing to do with voters.
Silliness and totally pathetic if he thinks this is grounds for the voter suppression heās after.
Itās also not evidence. Itās probably been admitted solely as a āchalk.ā
https://definitions.uslegal.com/c/chalk/
He still needs to produce proof of what the spreadsheet shows.
How many voters were struck by lightning while waiting in line over those 20 years? We might be missing a bigger problem here.
And even if he manages to clear that hurdle, he has to convince the court that itās āsubstantial.ā Good luck with that.
āKobach Using Spreadsheet Showing Five Non-Citizen Votersā
Thatās IT? Thatās the BIG voting scandal?
After years of touting this crap, Kobach finally gets his big chance, and produces THIS?
Good grief these people are goobers.
What a moron.
Yeah, that whole āfiveā thing doesnāt exactly ring with substance.
Good god I am surprised the judge didnāt laugh hysterically while saying ācase dismissed.ā
I mean come on - for 5 bad votes you are going to fuck up everything for over 2 million people?
If thatās all heās got heās in serious ārisk to benefitā trouble. I canāt imagine any Judge with a genuine desire to do whatās best for the people would allow a law that has booted 1000ās of legitimate voters to stand because it kept 2 dozen illegitimate ones out of the pols. Lets not kid ourselves. We know what Kobach is really up to. But if this is what he bases his case upon thereās no onus on anyone to pretend anymore or give him the benefit of the doubt. There is no doubt.
Does Kobach get extra pay for pursuing this or for representing Kansas in this case?
Could that be why he is doing it?

ā¦her office started collecting the data systematically in 2103ā¦
Note to reporterā¦ the date should be 2013 not 2103
Soā¦ What is it? Is it that they are, in fact, that unspeakably stupid? Can that be true? How do they dress themselves in the morning? They drive automobiles? Or is it just that they have convinced themselves that my fellow citizens are stupid enough to fail to detect how utterly bankrupt the argument is?
I honestly donāt understand.
Thirty eight cases of immigrants registering prematurely, 5 of which lead to an attempted vote. That isnāt substantial by any stretch of the imagination.
I donāt think the judge is going to be too impressed that the election commissioner stalked immigrants at their naturalization ceremonies.
And the fact that a few newly naturalized citizens were surprised to find out that theyād been registered to vote previously (but had never voted) suggests that the election commissioner should devote more resources to getting their data entry people to understand what it means when a non-voter doesnāt tick the āIām a U.S. Citizenā box on their DMV registration.
Anecdotally, it looks like the DMV āmotor-voterā effort is mostly effective, i.e. no one was using it to vote illegally, and it makes it quite simple to register to vote. Itās not the DMV applicantās fault if they didnāt claim to be a citizen and still ended up registered (in what amounts to 3 or 4 cases among millions).
