Discussion: Kobach Steps Aside From Role As KS Top Elections Chief After Colyer's Demand

Of course it would have been nice if he had enough integrity to see the need to step aside before being forced too! I know I’m kidding, he is a Rebpublican, he has no integrity.

“Colyer had demanded Thursday that Kobach stop advising county election officials…”

“…after claiming he walked in on Kobach eating paper ballots.”

“Having determined that he could not suppress votes after the election, Kobach deigned to step aside. ‘Hey, what’s the point, when I can’t tell whether the vote was cast by a black or brown person?,’ Kobach whined.”

On the one hand, I don’t want Kobach anywhere near any levers of power in any government in the US…I don’t want him as assistant dogcatcher. He’s a danger to our society simply because he wants to only allow the right people to vote, which is about as anti-American as it gets.

On the other hand, I want him to win the primary and then get crushed in the election so that a Democrat is in office and can stop any gerrymandering of Kansas after the 2020 census. It’s critically important that happen in as many states as possible this year.

I guess I can hope it turns out that way, and that Kobach is caught tampering with the votes in an election…being caught actively interfering would serve him right, and send him to prison.

Why do I have the strong suspicion that Kobach won’t stay “stepped aside?” He’ll be there in the office directing the re-count just as he said he wouldn’t.

Coyler has a lot of nerve. He bundled in 3M illegal Mexican Republicans (Kansas pop: 2.9M) to vote despite Kobach’s best election security efforts (thanks for nothing Democrat party). And now he wants Kobach to recuse himself. Well, I never . . .

And Kobach will be back as elections chief by, say, sundown…

Kobach wouldn’t know honesty, integrity or character if they bit him on his Trump-loving ass. He would NEVER have recused himself out of his own sense of honor…he has none. But, he’s still a total snake-in-the-grass so people better keep an eye on him. If he loses the primary, my faith in karma will be restored.

KKKobach’s instincts are corrupt and unholy.

Based on the bags and crows feet Kobach wears in public, I think this recusal should give him some much needed time at home with his family… Jimmy Beam… Jack Daniels… and his Old Granddad.

Has Kobach finished his court-mandated remedial lawyer classes, yet? I don’t think he should be allowed to do anything remotely associated with legal stuff until he passes his exams…

Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, a Democrat, stayed in office while she ran for U.S. Senate, challenging longtime Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell

It kills me that Grimes couldn’t beat McConnell. That one election has cast a pretty fucking long shadow already.

They are from the same nest.

You have to wonder how Kobach thinks his refusal to recuse is going to play in the general if he prevails.

If the 600 found votes had turned out to help him he would not have moved an inch. Now that the race is very very close all eyes would have been on his every move and would have questioned everything. This way he can get a henchman installed and the “press” will move along as usual thus allowing the very shit he desired all along.

I worked for a financial advisor who was licensed in KS and 5 other states. He needed to get his KS license renewed and needed to pass the KS financial investment testing. He was laughing so hard and called me into his office and asked if I could complete the test. The questions were so simple even I with absolutely zero knowledge of markets, financial terms etc was able to answer correctly over 90%. If I remember 65% was considered passing. Not the same as going for a law license but I don’t believe any KS license would be all that difficult to obtain.
