Of course Kobach helped Trump. The man is an idiot without someone telling him what to do and how. They just put those fucking papers in front of him in legalese and tell him to sign them. So long as he gets to play king and they continue to stroke his delicate ego the farce continues. The fucker doesn’t even read the stuff he signs I bet you.

The spending, the spending, the out-of-control spending!!! Remember when that was the response to everything and anything the Democratic President wanted to do, no matter what it was. With Republicans there’s never anything they can’t waste money on to run up the deficit of stupid shit…When they really want to hide what they’re doing, they just don’t put that shit on the books…like they failed to do while getting us into two fucking wars.

So far no money in any budget has been allocated for all of Trump’s harebrained ideas. Let’s see if Republicans give him those line items when they propose the Federal budget. Otherwise, this shit is just like robbing Peter to pay Paul for now…and shifting already available resources from one thing to another out of pique and the ability to overturn political priorities.

@marby From NYT on how trumpet is growing into the job. Not.

Krugman called it. Tangerine buffoon’s mentally ill, lazy and unengaged. Unless you count watching TV and social media and reading two newspapers which have expressed their distaste for him.

His mornings, he said, are spent as they were in Trump Tower. He rises before 6 a.m., watches television tuned to a cable channel first in the residence, and later in a small dining room in the West Wing, and looks through the morning newspapers: The New York Times, The New York Post and now The Washington Post.

But his meetings now begin at 9 a.m., earlier than they used to, which significantly curtails his television time. Still, Mr. Trump, who does not read books, is able to end his evenings with plenty of television.

In between, Mr. Trump signs executive orders in the Oval Office and has meetings in the West Wing.

“They have a lot of board rooms,” he said of the White House, an apparent reference to the Cabinet Room and the Roosevelt Room.

Read about how a sick mind “thinks.”

Where was Kobach in the weeks before the election?

This is very similar to their haphazard charge towards Obamacare repeal. They get an idea in their heads that’s born of pure ideology, devoid of objective reality. And they pursue it into the dirt.

I mean, they actually believe this shit, with no evidence to support it. They believe it, so it must be true. Pure faith. Government as dogma, with the party as their religion.

“The publicity seeking Kobach.” Now it all makes sense.

Trumpet has no friends. He has staff, employees, and family all sucking on the Trump, Inc. teat and paying him back with sycophancy.

I guess, taken in that context, it’s not surprising that many Republicans are hyper-religious as well.

Back in November … when some were calling for a recount …

fraud was "almost nonexistent " … remember that ? ? …

Silly to even suggest it …

I’m sure you’re right about Trump not reading most of what he is signing - I had exactly that impression. Not only that, but I just saw a summary of Trump’s daily schedule posted. He rises about 6 am and then watches several hours of television. They said that starting meetings at 9 am cuts into his viewing time, but he watches TV all evening. They said (and this outline was provided by someone from the Trump administration!) that he doesn’t read any policy papers, statistical overviews, or briefings at all. In fact, his comment about sending the Feds to reduce crime in Chicago was just a repeat of what he heard on FOX in his evening viewing. American, what have you done???
