I am going to go out on a limb here and call Kobach a slimy, disgusting prick.
You flatter him unnecessarily.
There should never have to be any “try” about it. That’s long been the law and policy in this country from the get-go.
Say, that gives me an idea. Maybe the Republicans could win more elections even without suppressing voting if they tried harder to enact policies that benefited regular people.

“In context, it’s hilarious,” Ahrens said.
and … taken in context …
would be a comment sufficient to describe the entire trial —
I’ve decided that wanting to do the most good for the most people who aren’t millionaires is just not in their DNA and definitely not as lucrative.
My favorite rebuttal of this involves manufacturer’s rebates. Companies use them to sell products – if you see a $5 rebate on a $10 product you’re likely to buy it. However, companies don’t really want you to use the rebates, which cost them money, so they add restrictions – you need to send it in the mail, maybe with a UPC code from the box, maybe with a store receipt. They know that every restriction they add reduces redemption rates, and that’s the point – make it POSSIBLE to get the rebate, but make it increasingly less LIKELY. Too many people getting their rebate cash? Just turn that difficulty-of-use dial up a bit, numbers will drop. (Just don’t turn it up so much that people realize it and don’t buy the product.)
That’s why discussion of individual registration efforts is intentionally deceptive. The point is to reduce voter turnout, which studies suggest favors the GOP. Any roadblock, no matter how small, will decrease turnout. If there is not a justification for the roadblock, it shouldn’t be there. Period.
One of Kobach’s attorneys was caught on a hot mic saying, “What do we have to do to block these worthless Democrats from pulling the lever? Holy shit, man, if we can’t figure out a way to disenfranchise 1/2 the country’s minorities, the GOP would never win an election. (Then, looking at the mic) Uh, is this thing on?!?!”. /s
Yep, the Japanese’ll make you go “what th—” in a lot of different ways.

Now find video of men doing that.
friggin " OUCH " …
They have absolutely no empathy. Professional guys with flexible work schedules, cars, income to cover life’s expenses, support staff, …
Time & time again, they show how they do not understand or care about the lives of others. That $27 represents alot of minimum wage hours, buses run infrequently, bosses are not sympathetic, childcare is hard to find, …
No matter how low they go, they keep going lower. Disgusting!
You said a mouthful, Skippy!
Those “regular people” are easily duped by the “libruls are trash” commentary they watch and listen to.
The hoops that these people were expected to go through were unreasonable and did what they were intended to do, which is to supress the vote. Absolutely despicable.
If, as Kobach says, a “right” has not been curtailed by making it difficult to access, then this is a water-tight argument in support of gun-control. The second amendment still obtains… but you’re just going to have to go through a lot of difficulty to get a gun. What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.
