Discussion: Kobach: DHS Will Take Over For Defunct Voter Fraud Panel In 'Tactical Shift'

Kris Kardashian, I don’t think they were throwing their food in the air. I think they had a good target in mind. Now you can go home to your delusions of being governor of Kansas.

Tactical Shift? Nope.

Ignominious defeat? Yep.

I think the court order last week directing Kobach to provide information to the Democratic member of the commission prompted this. Kobach really didn’t want the public to learn that there really isn’t any significant voter fraud in this country, unless you count Republican voter suppression efforts as voter fraud.

“What’s happening is a tactical shift where the mission of the commission is being handed off to Homeland Security without the stonewalling by Democrats,”

Secrets, and more secrets. This is disgusting.

Will Democrats, when back in power, retaliate against GOP’s stalling and obstruction against Obama by taking away their seats at all the important tables?

There is something deeply wrong with this man.

So, Kobach, how does it feel to know you just wasted months of your time?

FOIA requests will be made for every bit of evidence.

Aside from the fact that he’s more or less alive, what did you have in mind?

While I was relieved that the panel was shut down, I shudder to imagine what sinister actions they might be planning out of DHS. It is truly sad, but I don’t trust any bureau under the current administration to have clear or honest purposes.

‘Tactical Shift’ = Imperial Fiat from Trump* Appointee with no oversight or public input

He looks and acts like Dennis Quaid, if the cocaine had won.

Nice projection, Kobach. Too bad no one’s falling for it.

Now, about that voter data…

Tactical Shift ??
He must have kissed trump bigtime for the idea.
Being trump is the supreme leader of shiftless tactics.

The Trump administration’s obsession with destroying every organization, bureau, and agency under its power turns out to include even the sinister ones of its own devising.

They should have run their wish by legal before saying it to the genie. Rookie mistake.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that linkedin recently posted a statistician opening at DHS.

I look at it this way: They’re running out of time to make recommendations to states, get those recommendations on the legislative agenda and passed, signed into law and implemented ahead of the the general election this year. They’re probably already out of time. If this big blue tsunami sweeps the country as many believe it will then all of his efforts will be for naught. We have the power to stop him in his tracks if we just get out and vote.

I dunno, considering Kobach has been able to dig his nose as far as it will go up his Glorious Leader’s ass, I imagine he’s just high on the fumes by now.

“The Department continues to focus our efforts on securing elections against those who seek to undermine the election system or its integrity,” DHS acting press secretary Tyler Houlton said in an statement to the Washington Examiner Wednesday. "We will do this in support of State governments who are responsible for administering elections.”

Beautiful, now we have full collusion between the feds and their cronies in the red states to further voter suppression.

Kris Kobach is the sort of person who lambasts progressives for employing the commerce clause while searching for some totally unjustifiable excuse for illegal federal ratfucking. DHS has nothing to do with this. The secretaries of the various states and commonwealths will be no more willing to comply with requests from one executive branch than they were with another.
