Fantasy is when Sergei Kislyak looks into his mirror and sees Daniel Craig.

The defensiveness of Lavrov and Kislyak (two of the people featured in the iconic Oval Office photo with Trump in May 2017 the day after Comey was fired and the day that Trump irresponsibly revealed highly sensitive classified info on Israeli assets embedded in Syria) tells me that they’re worried. What are they worried about? IMHO, I think they believe the USIC will have evidence that the Internet Research Agency conspiracy to interfere in the 2016 elections was run out of or closely monitored by the Russian embassy in DC and various consulates.

Oh, this is about to get absolutely delicious! Whom does Fat Nixon side with? His Russian handlers, the keepers of the kompromat, the oligarchs who can destroy him financially? Or the entirety of US and international law enforcement and IC?

And about those sanctions, King Tub…

I’ve been eschewing popcorn since the 2016 election but it is time to stock up again. And buckle those seat belts, scouts and campers - shit’s about to get bumpy!

““fantasies” rooted in domestic politics.”

Now that you have told us you did it. Thank you. We will, hopefully, proceed accordingly.

Gravity has not been kind to Kislyak!

He’s just going to maintain his low profile, flashing thumbs up occasionally, keeping to his schedule of getting into and out of cars and on and off airplanes while being trailed by a morose looking girly woman. The ship of state is rudderless.

I just read that when it popped up on my phone.

The one thing I question is the way the end of the piece is written. It seemed to say that the Trump administration ordered those embassies here closed and I could have sworn that was Obama before Trump was sworn in.

A few months after his inauguration. There’s nothing he won’t do once he gets San Francisco into his head.

Trump administration ordered Russia on Thursday [8/31] to close its consulate in San Francisco and two diplomatic annexes, in New York and Washington, in a carefully calculated riposte to Russia’s order that the United States cut its diplomatic staff in Russia.

At last, a spokesperson we can really trust on this whole Russian election meddling debacle. Thanks for the claritifcation, Sergei.

Thanks.

I’m sure he loved taking a stab at San Francisco.

Also like Sanders, even much more so in fact, Kislyak is addressing a one-man audience rather than the public. A single word that displeases Vlad is troublesome in a nation that doesn’t mourn dead ambassadors.

Just read this somewhere else. Clearly l’arancia didn’t know this

The SF consulate for decades has been known as Russia’s spy central for Silicon Valley. There are so little Russian nationals in the area, even given SF’s Russian Hill neighborhood, to justify a true Consulate.
