Discussion: King Claims His Words Were Taken Out Of Context In NYT Story

awwww he wants to be a mini trump

There is already talk about King being primaried. Of course he’s taking his hateful racists words back.

Too late. You took your Klan hood off. We know what you are.

Perhaps this racist can go around his district and impregnate young women so that the white race will survive.

The question he’s asking is when did ā€œWhite Supremacistā€ become unacceptable speech within the Conservative movement? After all he hasn’t changed, he is who he has always been, why all of the sudden is he not acceptable in his own party? 2018 midterms maybe?

I’m not a racist. Why, some of my best friends are … oh wait, no they’re not.

The local skinny on the GoP in Story County, essentially King’s district:

The local party is attempting to claim a moral high ground and spirit of bipartisanship while treating King like their racist uncle at Thanksgiving dinner: turning a blind eye to him when it’s convenient but still welcoming him as part of the family instead of risking a scene when it comes time to raise money. The Story County GOP’s silence on Steve King is cowardly, and it is deafening.

There ARE times when the words of some public figure are taken out of context and his/her books, shows, songs, words are disappeared.

With King, he’s using his dog whistles with his base. He knows it. We know it. He feels so safe he continues, knowing his base loves the in your face of the libruls.

Don’t be messing with King he’s a war hero, for North Vietnam that is!

No doubt gerrymandered to include a preponderance of genuine crackers.

This man has been spewing this claptrap all his life. He’s won elections uttering this same nonsense. There is nothing new about all this. The only reason I can tell it is becoming offensive now is because DJT has ushered in a new, more open era of racists beating their chests, bringing their knuckles off the ground from time to time, and having a grand old party. Pun intended.

The problem with that, is that it is causing some serious backlash because people are beginning to see what is behind the curtain in OZ. They don’t seem to like the open arena of America’s racist tendencies. Bad for the image and wounding the soul of this nation.

But I have felt from day one that this is something America has to go through, as ugly as it is, so that she comes to the conclusion she never wants this happen again. Ever.
