Discussion: Kimmel Gives Cruz Impossible Choice: Who's Worse? Obama Or Trump? (VIDEO)

Tweets to fly in 5…4…3…2…1…

In this world of turmoil and lightening updates it’s nice to know late night talk formats and cheap ā€˜comic’ bits haven’t changed in 50 years…/s

The bastard was much better, more natural than I thought he would or could be. Argh!

Actually, I’ve never seen any candidate for any office fall so fast and so hard to trick questions like Trump does. It’s amazing that he never fails to fall for them, regardless of the topic, interviewer, setting, etc. It’s a freakish lack of self-awareness, or some other condition I’ve yet to put my finger on, that has him answer in the most ludicrous way when he’s not expecting that particular question. Use of nukes, abortion punishment, men not to be punished…and the list goes on.

Heck, as another website well noted, he can’t even keep his lies straight anymore!

Hate to admit, but that’s actually funny.

Do.not.make.this.man.look.reasonable/funny/smart/moderate. He is a scary creeper. With all Trump’s faults (and they are legion) Cruz is the person that would destroy this country.

Now Cruz knows how the rest of the Republican Party feels about him and Cruz.
Do you want to be shot in the head (Trump) or burned at the stake (Cruz)?

Trump is actively helping with it. I remember many such moments in the Republican debates.

This is also why I view Cruz as MUCH more dangerous than Trump.
Trump is a megalomanic buffoon who has no control of his mouth. He just blathers on to hear his own voice. It’s all EGO.
Cruz on the other hand is a slick sociopath who knows how to schmooze people and, like most sociopaths, is very, very smart. He also has absolutely no soul and has no empathy for anyone or anything in his quest for personal power. He has been groomed by his insane father from birth to believe HE is the ā€œChosen One of Godā€ to bring a Theocratic State into being in the USA and firmly believes he is the ā€œChosen Oneā€. He would lose not a second of sleep by sending ā€œnon-believersā€ into the ovens and launching Nuclear Weapons against the ā€œMooslim Hordesā€. Think Martin Sheen’s President in ā€œThe Dead Zoneā€ (The Missiles are Flying! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dead_Zone_(film)

Republicans are just plain DIFFERENT…in a very uncomfortable sort of way.

They dance to a different beat, always out of sink, they leave you squirming in your own skin…

In the world of metaphors, Trump is Mussolini. We all know what happened to him when the the people (finely) caught on.

Cruz is the dangerous one, and finding a suitable historical figure to compare him with is tough. Kaa the snake in Jungle Book always comes to mind, but that’s literary, not historical…

ā€œWell, Jimmy, the correct answer would be…me!ā€

I’ve been saying since the beginning, Trump’s greatest sin is that he makes Ted Cruz look moderate by comparison. In an election when Cruz would have been dismissed as the Crazy Right Wing Guy, Donald Trump has somehow managed to make most reviled US Senator into the ā€œestablishment candidateā€ by dragging the debate so far to the right that he yanked the rug completely out from underneath the more moderate candidates.

How far has the party fallen that Lindsey Graham is trying desperately to swallow his gall and endorse Ted Cruz? An hilarious interview by the way where he manages to simultaneously insult and repudiate Ted Cruz while saying he’s supporting him because as bad as Cruz is, Trump is death for the party…

UntrusTed is still a sociopathic bastard. I can’t stand his voice. I can’t stand his ideas and lack of understanding of how government works.

Mostly, he tries too hard to be human in situations like this. The guy has no soul.
