It isn’t about Maher or Kimmel they are providing you with their act. If you are a comedian with sharp satiric skills you give these guys a platform and then mock them. And yet YOU are angry with the comedian. Look in the mirror.

Actually, Democrats lost a whole week to fight Cassidy when their attention was diverted by Single payer that would not even pass in Congress today even if you believe, like I do, that it is a worthy cause, The effect was simply to conduct a test on which Dem congress members support single payer. GOP is going to continue the effort to repeal OCare until they lose one branch of the government.
Meant one branch of congress.
Come on … we’ve always argued that you should be able to do more than walk and chew gum. You can talk about single payer while still fighting to the death to stop this insanity trying to be brought forth by Republicans. PLEASE! Everyone knows ACA needed some adjustments (and the Republicans have already shot the legs out of several items of the ACA).

Lying comes so easily to Repubs, but since donnie, it has reached a new level in that they don’t even care when they are caught. But the big photo is an ouch for Cassidy. Like a spotlight on someone trying to sneak out of a dark room.
Calling out the lies is such a huge and tedious job these days, but we must do it. Thank you to the likes of Kimmel and others (Charles Blow comes to mind) who have no fear in focusing a big bright light on it.

So Kimmel exposes their big lie to a huge national audience, and even generates subsequent press about the exposure. And you guys think it’s a good time to launch personal attacks at him. The internet truly breeds strange partisans.
I love Jimmy Kimmel and I know he was genuinely pissed off about this.
But I do not love having the threads hijacked by darcy and ronbyers.

And if you try telling these people that all the Republicans do is lie, you are being a radical. The only way I have seen people come-to-Jesus on this or any subject is when circumstances force them to confront that they personally have been lied to like this.
Of course this a teachable moment.
And I welcome Jimmy Kimmel to the fold and echo his experience as far as I can. And I celebrate that another voice has come to join The Resistance.
