Nuclear demilitarization should move down the list of priorities. Lets get these two countries working together. Expand trade with North Korea. Give the North Koreans something to worry about if Kim thinks about starting a war.

It is rather obvious that one of the “conditions” to denuke would be for the US to remove all nukes from the south. How else could you have a nuke free Korean peninsula. Next would no doubt be the removal of all US troops from the south also. Get those two things and little Kim will have a free hand to do what he wants on the peninsula. Given the military supremacy of the north compared to a US free south this is something that should scare the crap out of the citizens of South Korea.

I think you are forgetting the South Koreans. There are roughly twice as many South Koreans as North Koreans. The South Koreans are technologically and scientifically advanced. The North Koreans are just one step away from starvation and are living in one of the most primitive countries in Asia. If it didn’t live under the American nuclear shield South Korea could become a nuclear power just about as fast as Japan which is to say really fast. In the long run any war between the two countries would go badly for North Korea. Kim isn’t nearly as crazy as people think.

I’m sure Putin will make sure Trump obeys. He’s driven a big wedge through all our existing alliances quite nicely, no reason to think that won’t continue here.

By reducing the USA to merely another kleptocratic oligarchic autocracy among nations, and having it abandon its obsession with spreading democracy and human rights at home and abroad.
The USA is the impediment to world peace by being the imperial power with a false altruism of helping the little guys of the world through demanding human rights and democratic ideals and institutions, and using these demands as a cudgel to batter leaders of nations who don’t kow-tow to these demands.
The USA needs to be pulled down off its high-horse and reduced to merely an equal in an axis of the most influential kleptocratic oligarchic autocracies; it’s hypocrisy must end and it must join the reality of how humankind and the world really works, no more pie in the sky claptrap.
Then the enlightened leaders of these nations can focus on dissent within their own country where domestic peace will be harshly enforced by eliminating those who refuse to assume the role of the little guy grateful for his enslavement.
World peace is acheived through the world being One under international oligarchs whose power interests coincide in not rocking each others yachts.
The little guy will always have Jesus to soothe his servitude and that will be played to the hilt too, with acceptance of Lord and Savior being a gateway to prospering in American life; those who refuse will be shunned into extinction through an economic eugenics.

90% of North Korea’s trade was with China. Trunp’s “maximum pressure” will last as long as China goes along with it. Given the expanding trade war between the US and China, that will not last too long,
Yet South Korea appears to be fully on board with this. Leadership has already signed a peace agreement and I haven’t heard of any rioting in the streets…
The south is on board with improving relations with the north. Moon ran on this and won big although the corruption of the previous President had something to do with that also. However, I would guess that few in the south believe the US will remove all the US troops. Under any other POTUS that belief would be valid but Spanky is not like any other POTUS. Personally I think little Kim knows he has found a mark sitting in the White House and is going to milk this for all its worth.
