Davis kinda reminds me of Bob Thebeldt. He fixed the commode in my 1/2 bath last year but it still flushes slow. I need to call him and complain.

Funny thing about analogies: Sooner or later, they cease to match up accurately with that which they were created to explain. In this particular case, they cease to match up a whole lot sooner.

Why Kracker’Barrel Kim is exactly like Lincoln…IF Lincoln believed slaves were exactly where they should be, subservient and treated like chattle, because the bible clearly supports slavery and helping, in any way, slaves achieve equality would be against God and the clearly defined and bible approved status quo. President Abraham Lincoln has whole books written about him–too numerous to count, hundreds of stage plays written and acted to this day, movies seen by a billion or more people. President Abraham Lincoln has his likeness on countless billions of pieces of currencies not only from the United States but other nations around the world. Kim Davis will go down in history, but as a side-note, an asterisk in the annals of LGBTQ history–noted as a rather small ass-boil type of a bump on the road to equality.
Is that what this Staver dude is boo-hooing about? Yeah, some comparison, there, Mr. “I Have a Law Degree from [snicker] Liberty Law School.”

Everyone mocks Davis, rightfully so. But this is Kentucky. She is a hero to hundreds of thousands of homophobes, Tea Party acolytes, Nazis, Skinheads, self loathing closeted gay men, Evangelicals, Young Republican college brats, etc. In other words a huge swath of the Kentucky electorate. Laugh now, but she’s positioned perfectly to come out of this and make a run for the U.S. House or some other higher state or federal level office. A large portion of the public loves her bigotry, her defiance of “The Man” and her clinging to the past. Especially in a place like Kentucky.
Properly conceived and articulately expressed, a good analogy can succinctly and memorably make a point. That said, Staver obviously failed Analogies 101 at Liberty Bible College.
I’d also say that he slept through Irony and Hypocrisy 101, but Christian conservatives aren’t intellectually capable of comprehending either.
