So young children of color were arrested for not getting involved in a fight? And since when is a schoolyard tussle a crime? Naw, I get it. Since when are 6-11 year oldās expected to intervene in a fight? Would they have been arrested then? Probably. Iāve read a lot about brain dead police, but this one might just top them all.
Makes you wonder why the cops werenāt arresting themselves for failing to arrest the non-intervening children before the fight even happened.
Why were there no adults (teachers) supervising? And it is the kidsā fault? These kids will need grief counselors, because their educational career now is dead.

You must surely know well that Covington isnāt Tennessee. However effed up Kentucky is, itās never as effed up as Tennessee when it comes to stuff like this.
Because after reviewing the video and identifying the kids, the police had to go in right that moment to arrest them, rather than, yāknow, calling their parents and asking them to come down to the police station or issuing them citations the way that they would with well-off white kids. (Oh, wait, we have video of well off white kids not intervening to stop rapes, and not even charges ensuing. Nevermind.)
I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that they dropped the original plan to go into the school with a SWAT team and shoot anyone who resisted.
I donāt know if Durr was the arresting officer - if so, the doorknob is barely cool before heās back out. If not, then Ferguson MO is going to have a new cop transferred from Tennessee soon.
