aka CACA…

$8 billion ain’t shit. To call it a drop in the ocean of what’s needed to make this “plan” work would be an insult to drops.

Am I missing something? You’re talking about $8 million as if that’s a meaningful figure to help cover all the chronically sick people in the country? That’s like an airport shuttle van—once 10 or 15 people get on, you’re full up and have to shut the doors. Ridiculous.

Excellent! Let’s get those votes on the record. And then, when it gets to the Senate, we’ll see the CBO scoring.

$1.6 Billion a year over 5 years is all it is.

The Center for American Progress estimates that over $30 Billion is needed each year to adequately fund High Risk Pools.

Too bad TPM provides no context.

wow, so upton and long were just playing a long con. pretending they cared about pre-existing conditions so they could bravely add an amendment and publicly pretend they’ve helped their constituents. to think i actually believed maybe some of these jerks actually cared about sick people. long is a piece of *. he has a daughter with cancer and he can sign onto this bill. unbelievable.

This comment is only for the Trumpster voters!
I pray and hope O-Care is repealed! I hope and pray anyone in your family who has medical care because of O -Care dies within a very short time after trump signs the repeal into law!
I hope and pray that your babies die soon after being born cause they have a pre-existing condition!
So like Rep Grayson commented here:

Well, it’s an additional $1.6 billion/year for 5 years. That means they’d be raising the total funding to, oh, 12% of what would actually be required instead of 10%. Of course, all that funding will end after 10 years, but by that point most of the people forced into high-risk pools will be dead for lack of medical care anyway, so the program will be much cheaper! Who says Republicans can’t do math?

That’s why I read the comments!

Meh. They’re tapdancing in clown shoes on the AHCA’s grave. This was the equivalent of kicking it up to Riverdance speed for a few seconds, but that’s about it.

Estimates range from 28 to +100B annually necessary to cover those in high risk pools. This is a farce to cover their asses and pawn repeal off on the senate. It’s going to hurt when the chickens come home to roost.

yeah. longtime trumper absolutely. i’m just someone who will lose health insurance permanently as soon as this bill in its next horrific manifestation gets through Senate and then goes for full vote in Congress.

what’s your problem? just bored today? your graphics are as lame as your trolling of me. i tend to lose capitals when i’m upset. happy now? feel good now after harassing someone who happens to be sad about possibly being soon to be exiled to no healthcare. good on you. you’re a fine person. congratulations, you managed to get 2 rises out of me. hope it makes your day.
