they wouldn’t be republicans if they didn’t spike the ball. For them it’s ALL about spiking the ball IN YOUR FACE. This was never about millions getting affordable healthcare. They RESENT it when people get essentials at an affordable price. It’s all about a big FU to Obama.

If they really want to gloat properly, they need to trot out some cancer victims or some children with chronic diseases who will lose coverage under the new bill.

Then they can also trot out a few millionaires who will receive big tax breaks as a result of this.

House repubes voted for this with the knowledge that Senate dems will “bail them out” by filibustering the bill, similar vote to all of the other repeal efforts in a sense, as it was obvious Obama would never sign the shit they passed.

a non-insignificant part of me wants the dog to catch the bus, and reap the electoral consequences (and potentially grease the skids for single payer)

or load the senate version up with poison pill amendments, get votes on the record for the senators up for reelection in 2018, and then vote against/present and send it back

use repube assumptions on dem behavior against them

I can’t tell who’s joking on here. MacArthur’s amendment reopened the negotiation. He voted for it.
