Coward!
Shorter Keurig CEO: I dont want people to know that Keurig does not support Pedophilia. Pedophiles love Coffee too.
“This gave the appearance of ‘taking sides’ in an emotionally charged debate that escalated on Twitter and beyond over the weekend, which was not our intent,”
Taking fucking sides? Spineless.
Why exactly is it unacceptable? You just make a blanket statement like that and it doesn’t mean a damn thing.
When the millennials running your social media team have bigger balls than the CEO…
apparently we’re living in an era in which the topic of child molestation has multiple sides that lead to “emotionally charged debate”
"This gave the appearance of ‘taking sides’ in an emotionally charged debate that escalated on Twitter and beyond over the weekend, which was not our intent,”
You don’t want the appearance of taking the side of the victim of child molestation over that of a pedophile?
Why in the world would you pull advertising out of protest, but then not want people to know about it?
What is the point? “I don’t want people to see advertising for my product after a segment defending a pedophile… But I also don’t want them to think I’m taking a stand…”
What a dickless position.
So Keurig took an action that required a little bit of courage, since it alienated a certain segment of the public. Then the company’s CEO decided that the decision should not have been made public since it pissed off those people. This is not exactly a profile in courage, is it?
it’s Papa John’s all over again
That’s because the millennials lack money. Balls shrink as you get richer. Proud to say my balls are almost as big as when in college…
Dude, you’re showing that you’re standing up to pedophilia. This does not hurt you.
He’s whipsawing himself, he’s going to get hurt both ways.
Keurig’s reputation is like seaweed under water, it goes this way, it goes that way, it goes this way… well, you get it. Spineless!
What a boneheaded response!
I’m not going to waste my time smashing Keurig coffee makers, but you can count me out as a potential customer too.
God forbid one of the corporate suit types would ever be a mensch about a thing. Even taking a principled stand is turned into an exercise in mealy-mouthed spinelessness. I take a sip of my Melitta-dripper coffee and sneer at you, Keurig guy.
“This gave the appearance of ‘taking sides’ in an emotionally charged…”
Um. Does this guy realize that one side of this debate is, apparently, pro adults-dating-teenagers?! Seems like a demographic you don’t need to be selling coffee to.
I’m sure there are some very fine people on both sides of the issue. Aren’t there?!?!?!
