Discussion for article #244780
Here is the only bright spot in Obama’s 8 years of b.s. cowardly lies. This is a significant change, long overdue, never was deserved in the first place, but then again, that’s another story. Removal of sanctions is a huge step forward to achieving Middle East peace. But, do I expect any peace is achievable, given Obama’s support, funding and arming of all the fascist players: Saudi Arabia and Israel, and not to forget Turkey and ISIS who Obama and Erdogan also fund, arm and support using Turkey as the proxy in that criminal conspiracy?
Excuse me?
Edit: (I think this person could really be Sarah Palin or Ben Carson, based on the logic)
Golly, OmAhHum, you’re going way beyond the glass being half-empty, doncha think?
This is a wonderful day, one that I didn’t think was possible, what with all the forces lined up against it in both countries and beyond.
What planet are you on? Not this one, that’s for sure.
This is what we’re gong to hear about this week–how we gave up sanctions for nothing. We’re not going to hear about successes in getting our sailors released or the release of Iranian-Americans from Iranian prisons.
Hey, Curmudge – Here’s the actual quote from the Donald, according to the WaPo:
“So essentially they get $150 billion plus seven and we get four,” Trump said. “Doesn’t sound too good. Doesn’t sound too good.”
Ding-ding-ding!!! We’ve found our weekend delusional.
I cannot wait for Michele Bachmann’s blog entry on the subject.
What a wonderful bit of outright lying! He has, of course, glossed over the fact that the $150 billion was theirs to begin with.
Do you enjoy sound stupid? You must because your posts are unintelligible, full of lies and stupid
Lest we forget! Obama’s prisoner release didn’t arm Iran. The Rightie Wingnuttery and Bagger Cons are of course thinking the of Republicans…but it’s always Opposite Day in the cesspool that is Baggerlandia, Dumbfu*kistan where the FOXbots live.
I just heard that HRC is blasting the deal - shouldn’t have swapped. This is what pisses me off about her. Just when I had almost forgiven her for bringing up Obama’s birthright, Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.
Blasting the deal? Do you write TPM’s headlines?
This kind of thing mystifies me. Regardless of anything else, why would she think that this was a politically smart thing to do? Who is she trying to appeal to? Wingnuts who would never vote for her, no matter what?
Why not just remain silent, or just say that she’s glad these blameless people have been released?
read what she actually said about Iran.
Gee, what a novel idea.
I can’t claim authorship, but this is a perfect example of OmAhHum’s reasoning (or lack thereof):
The Pope is visiting Washington, D.C., and President Obama takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac, cruising on the Presidential yacht, the Sequoia.
They’re admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope’s hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water.
Secret Service guys start to launch a boat, but President Obama waves them off, saying, “Wait, wait. I’ll take care of this. Don’t worry.”
Obama then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father’s little hat, bends over, picks it up, and then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard.
He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.
The next morning, the GOP proclaims:
“Obama Can’t Swim!”
Do you have a link? I went looking and all I came up with was this and it doesn’t sound like she is slamming the administration:
Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders also addressed the release in a statement, saying: “This good news shows that diplomacy can work even in this volatile region of the world.”
In a statement, Hillary Clinton – the Democratic frontrunner and a former secretary of state – said: “I am greatly relieved by the safe return of American prisoners from Iran. Their families and our country have waited and prayed for this day to come.”
Clinton added that the nuclear deal with Iran was “an important achievement of diplomacy backed by pressure”, and said: “These are important steps that make the United States, our allies and the entire world safer. I congratulate President Obama and his team, and I’m proud of the role I played to get this process started.”
Clinton also noted that “another American, Bob Levinson, still isn’t home with his family” and said “the treatment of our navy sailors earlier this week was offensive”.
“Iran is still violating UN security council resolutions with its ballistic missile program,” she added, “which should be met with new sanctions designations and firm resolve.”
Ah, the Guardian. Thank dog for it.
