And he seems like such a nice man, too.

Is it “Parody (sic) symbolic speech protected by the 1st amendment (sic)”?

I wonder how many votes this will siphon from McDonnell?

I wish this asshole the best of luck siphoning off votes from McConnell. Hopefully, he can get a little exposure and peel off 4-5% of McConnell voters. That might be just enough to give Grimes the edge she needs.

Me too. Joe Manchin needs all the help he can get standing up to the Democrats in Washington.

Looks like he couldn’t get anyone to print his hateful signs, and had to have them printed to say something else and then alter them with a magic marker.

Any guess on what the sign said before it was altered?

Nice back handed comment/complement.

The “J” in the sign does seem altered somehow.

So, when does free speech become hate speech?

This sign certainly crosses that line.

Surely there’s precedent available to shut this crap down?

There are already a lot of race-challenged white kids in Kentucky, this only creates another level of trans-generational prejudice that will make it even worse.

According to “The Synagogues of Kentucky: Architecture and History” by Lee Shai Weissbach (Google Books) only two, aside from services in private homes, once existed in Newport, Kentucky:

Ohave Sholom, c. 1918-c. 1925, 430 W. 6th Street
United Hebrew Congregation,1897-1966, 117 E. 5th Street

All four letters of the word “JEWS” look a little ragged at the edges. Maybe that whole corner was blank, and they wrote it in by tracing letters from other places in the sign?

I get that the guy is antisemitic, but beyond that, I don’t understand the point of his sign. Neither McConnell nor Grimes is Jewish, so it’s not like it’s aimed against the other candidates in the race. But maybe there is no further point, and the antisemitism is all he wanted to convey. These types have sure been crawling out of the woodwork lately, haven’t they?
