Congratulations, voters of Kentucky; you have officially picked a bigger asshole than Greg Abbot to sit in the executive chair for the next four years. Enjoy!

It’s not what KY did by voting for this clown. It’s what KY did by staying home and allowing him to be elected. But, this is another one where I feel bad for those who voted, feel bad for those who didn’t get the opportunity to vote because of their felony status, but feel not a damn bit bad, particularly for those state contractors who either voted for him or didn’t vote at all, and are now getting a $114 a week pay cut. Serves you right. You built that.
Meanwhile, Obama and his beautiful family are climbing mountains in HI, laughing and having the time of their lives as they try to recover from the sting of being so harshly rebuked by the state of KY. Yep, they’ve been put directly in their place, one with beautiful beaches, great food, and sunny weather.

They screwed themselves by voting for someone that would deny them more economic security, or as they say in Long Island parlance of the 40’s and 50’s, they “schlonged themselves.”

I hate this piece of shit Bevin. He’s trying to rig the election because let’s face it, he knows damn well that if those 140,000 ex-cons were to vote, it sure as hell wouldn’t be for the current day clowncar representing the Republican party.

I’ll be interested to see if this guy makes it through his first term. I’d bet the mortgage there is all kinds of crooked shit hiding in his closet.

“[T]he minimum wage stifles job creation.”

I agree.

Keeping wages so low that people work three jobs just to make ends meet triples employment participation.

Hello Kentucky, welcome to the Third World, table for 4.5 million? Right this way, Mr Bevin will be your host tonight.

Agreed, but I do think something really good can come out of this. KYians simply aren’t used to Republican governance, certainly not Republican governance on steroids. Bevin is only the third governor to serve since the 60’s. We’re used to moderate Democrats who’ve been left of center (what used to be the center) on economic issues and just right of center on most social issues. They didn’t like abortion, gay marriage, and smoking bans, and they’ll send a harshly worded letter to let you know just what they think about it. That kind of thing.
Even the last Republican governor fell under the old guard version of Republicanism. Cut taxes a little here, raise them there, hire a bunch of friends and lackeys, keep the poor fed, the horses running, the bourbon flowing, and all will be right with the world. KYians aren’t going to know what freakin’ hit them when they wake up and realize what this guy is doing and plans to do. All that “good Conservative governance” sounds all well and good when it’s someone else’s state, when you’re looking at it from the outside in, but once folks have to start practicing what they preach and living under the shitstorm they voted for, or didn’t, I suspect Bevin will be a one term governor. I suspect he’ll wind up being an experience for KYians much like that one kid who drank a fifth of Vodka the first time he got drunk, wound up in the hospital, and still doesn’t touch the stuff 30 years later.

Someone should tell Bevin that adopting African kids just stifles creativity and makes them lazy.
