Only in this land can you have a political party that is pro-gun, pro-death penalty, pro-war and anti- universal healthcare…and STILL get away with calling itself “The Pro Life Party.”
GOP Voter:"My good job was shipped to China and my new one has no union, no healthcare and no retirement or pension plan. And even if Republicans end Social Security and Medicare, I will still vote for them because of Benghazi…because that’s really important to me and my family."
And when they terminate those benefits, the Republican Party blame the Democratic Party for those voters’ resultant sufferings. They’d go, “You suffer because Democrats have instead given the benefits to blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, gays and lesbians and transgenders, wahhhhh.” And surprise, surprise, those poor white voters fully believe it and will vote for the Republican Party again. Again. And again.
No, it’s not the same situation as Clinton’s. I think the KY voters’ (outside of the two real cities) ideology is: If it is Obama’s policy it is BAD. There’s nothing logical about it.
As crazy-making and full of rage as it makes me, you’re right. It is really that simple. These people would rather die than admit they were helped by a black man. Maybe we could use a little herd thinning in this state.
Bevin is following a pattern of behavior being exhibited by numerous Republican governors during the past several years – placing political party strategy and dogmatism ahead of the health, safety, and welfare of his constituents.
The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.
The first thing that came to my mind is Mitch Mcconnell’s promise/lie that Kentuckians could keep Kynect even if the ACA went away. Switching to the Federal Exchange means that if a Republican does get elected president they can repeal Obamacare without the backlash of Kynect going away. “See, the Federal Government has let you down again. Too bad they made us get rid of Kynect.”
It would still be a Republican taking away what a Democrat had set up for them.
It takes a high degree of denial, ignorance and basically meanness to be a teabagger and self destructive clown but somewhere late at night when the demons come, these bozos would know the truth.
I don’t see McConnell being around long enough for a Repub to ever be elected again anyway. He’s near extinction.
And, Obamacare is here to stay, no matter who is in the White House, it’s a part of us as well as the haters that use it. Obamacare may as well be a payroll check deduction just like SS and disability are.
I wonder how many people, that got their insurance through the exchange, voted for this asshole? When David Dinkins beat Ed Koch for mayor of New York, Koch said that people need to be punished for their votes. Apply that logic here
